Of the ones I saw, Oceans 13. Not a terrible film, but my least favortie of the ones I saw.

Pirates was quite dreadfully written, but Bourne Ultimatum had an incredibly silly and implausible script compared to the first two, plus the horrifically inept directorial stylings of Paul Greengrass, who I would kill without blinking given half a chance. Bourne wins. Or should I say, loses.

We should be able to vote multiple options, so many bad films this year :(

Let me sum up the Bourne movies for you:

Bourne 1:

1. Bourne asks one person who he is.
2. Two guys try to kill him.
3. Bourne asks two people who he is.
4. Four guys try to kill him.
Repeat steps exponentially until 90 minutes have elapsed, then have him call the cops on himself and run away.

Bourne 2:
1. Bourne confronts one person who might know who he is.
2. Two guys try to kill him.
Repeat same process as 1.

Bourne 3:

1. Bourne tells one person he knows who he is.
2. Two guys try to kill him.
Repeat same process as 1 and 2, but with more things blowing up.

And there's a special camera for shaking to create effect. Still, those movies are just endless spy talk that means nothing.

I acknowledge that the dialogue in most of the films can be summed up as "It's Bourne." "I want that phone/camera/frequency! MOVE IT PEOPLE!" "This guy is perfect." "I'm watching you RIGHT NOW." and variations on same.

However, the first two had fairly tight scripts that didn't rely on silly coincidences to keep the story rolling. The first one also did NOT use the shaky camera, because it wasn't directed by Greengrass... and most notably, it actually gave Matt Damon a character to play, with real human emotion. As the series progresses, he becomes more and more of a soulless, emotionless killing machine - something which is apparently intentional, but it sure does make him a helluva lot more boring.

It's heartbreaking but...

Spider-Man 3...

It's not the worst film of the summer, but it was most certainly the most disappointing and thusly my least favorite.

Simply because I, like everyone else, had such high expectations for Spidey to succeed...and it just fell flat on its face...:(

I still get angry about it from time to time...it's like I WANT to like it sooo badly...but I just can't...

You're saying Bourne is silly and implausible when Die Hard 4, Transormers, and Pirates are up there?

It's quite a different matter when you're talking about something that deals with ALIEN CAR-ROBOTS and MAGIC CURSED FISH MEN and such. Besides, those films do NOT rely on silly coincidences to move the plot forward. John McClane doesn't go charging into Wasington D.C. only to ACCIDENTALLY stumble across an old friend at an exactly perfect moment or something. Which is more than you can say of Bourne.

Pirates. I'm sure Hairspray was even worse to suffer through, but I didn't go see that.

SM3:( Because it wasn't good and it was the most disappointing...How could it have gone so wrong?

DAMN IT!!!

SM3'S IN THE LEAD AGAIN!!!
