Zion Enforcers - (looking for help)

I'm looking to start a wave of Christian Characters/Superheros/stories created by christians / fans.

I welcome all. I'm doing a couple of actions figures right now.

Crossover - (he is speed of God)
Glory - (aka Holy Spirit)
Marvel Jesus
Titus - (a prayer warrior & portal protector)

We are the Zion Enforcers! Fans coming together to get ideas off and running.
Ultimate goal! Giving God all the glory for one!

1. Re-defining biblical characters
2. Creating waves of villians & heros = bios/storys = action figures + hopefully getting comics made!

with in One year - 2 yrs - 5 yrs Instead of admiring what marvel/dc/mcfarlene. Would it be cool to have comics, staues, action figures, t shirts ....... sitting on your shelf, And knowing you had a hand in making it. From fans for the fans!!!!!!

This will take some work . But its a goal of mine to give more christians or other fans more that just bible man/ veggy tales kind of stuff! Cool but inspiring stuff.

I'm also looking to spread out to reach more! So if anyone knows of other sites/forums I can list on email me!

I hate to break it to you, but i honestly don't think you're going to be catering to that large of a crowd... I think there's a small minority of a group that would actually enjoy reading about biblical superheroes.

I don't know. They had a Really cool Christian based comic book in the mid 90s called "Archangels" I liked it :Up: You just have to make sure you are advertising it in the right places for it to succeed.

i think its very important to not make it preachy imo...or overly christian..

now i think a comic with characters based from all sorts of religions would be kinda cool

Yeah, sometimes making it too preachy could be the downfall. You can keep all the Religious elements you just have to make sure you don't overuse them.


You also have to make sure you aren't trying to force an ideal onto someone. A lot of Christians fail in their attempts to preach the Word of God because they are overly aggressive about it. You have to spark someone's interest and keep it throughout without demanding too much from the reader.

yea, just so far what he has going is sounding a lil preachy to me... the names of the characters as is turn me off to it.

one of the best ways to draw in an audience is bring them in without knowing it, and getting them hooked, so when your main message becomes apparent they don't realize it till later, and already like the book and characters, so they keep reading.


this is what Alan Heinberg did with the young avengers... alot of people didn't realize hulking and wiccan were a couple till the 6th issue... (some caught on before but not most) and sure some people were all stupid and were like "im not reading a book with gay characters" but others were enlightened and were like hey, i can get into this still. And i think thats a very good playing card with all touchy subjects... and yes any religion based comic is a touchy one.

The only one I really don't like is Marvel Jesus.

You are going to have to do this carefully and in an educated point of view. You have to approach the storyline that have touchy subjects with respect and an unbiased PoV but also maintain the message you are trying to get across. I don't envy your position my friend.

I....am not a very christian guy......that makes me sounds bad....but I mean I am not religious at all and stuff....I know of it and a lot about it I just don't care for it.

But there were three books some years back by a guy named Theodore Beals......The war in Heaven, the World In Shadow and the Wrath of Angels.....they absolutely ****ing rocked.

I'm looking to reach a whole other audience and maybe bring in some new fans.
I'm not looking to come out "preachy". I have recently met alot of chrisitan comic artists. Like archangels, bibleman I'm looking to do a major upgrade to the christian superhero community. www.Angelwars.com is a recent project that has got alot christians excited. I'm looking to do the same.
First I need to set the record. Unlike others im not religious. Religious people follow religions. Churchians follow churchs. I call myself "Christian" because I follow Christ! Jesus Christ.
Im looking to start a "christian based" inpsiring new series. A wave of new characters with moral standings, the classic battle of good and evil. Stories that can hit home but leave the imagination running wild.
EVERYONE is invited to help! Religious are not!
I understand how "marvel Jesus" could sound. I was trying to give example to those who might have faith based. I want to give biblical characters, classic spiritual beings a new and exciting upgrade.
Please do not take me wrong not trying to offend anyone, just trying out a new project. With new characters! exciting new worlds! and maybe even inspiring some with thier faith.

well i just feel like the most important thing is that they are characters first... then christians. because if you push the christian part more then the characters themselves, then they become very hollow and boring. I think this day and age people are definitely looking for hope, but at the same time your characters should feel relatable and most likely not without faults either.

Again ........... I am targeting the christians fans/community. But at a level that anyone can join in. You have to realize not ever character in the bible was "christian" ....... to have good you will have the evil ......you will have the torn ......the faithful .........the ones directly in god's army ............... the ones who trail the dark side.....

there will be waves ........ of updated biblical characters .......

then there will be waves of other characters with thier own story line.

I appreciate the input. Once things starts moving I think everyone will be excited or curious ....... I have some who are very curious about the project

im curious.... but the way you've described it leaves me very off put and turned off by it... but different strokes for different folks.

i guess this isnt any different then marvel doing norse and greek gods and characters in the modern day world, so kudos to that.
