i'll admit, though, i like the idea of having that cute little girl (didn't mean that to sound dirty) being the "superman" of the bunch. should make for at least one or two funny scenes.

yeah, but a few people in here are acting like it's some original piece of movie making magic. don't get me wrong, i love it, but c'mon, an invisible girl that can also make force fields? seriously? you can't get more obvious than that.

story-wise I don't think incredibles ripped anything off. I've never seen any story like that before.

The powers do seem ripped to me though. but i feel that's probably debatable if we look at superhero history. is sonic the hedghog ripping off the flash? stuff like that... I can't say for certain if it's a clear straight ripoff or just characters sharing similar powers, really. Maybe some expert here knows the answer.

I think Incredibles is more of a HOMAGE to 60's superheroes in general. I don't think it was just mainly "ripping off" FF. Cause there were a lot of different superpowers in the movie. Really.... main reason they used those powers in Incredibles was, I don't know....they fit the story better?

And I'm not defending ZOOM by the way...in fact I think it looks like crap. But if anything...I think its more of a rip of X-men and Powerpack.

In the book,the main character is Summer Jones.Her dad brings her to zoom's academy.But they couldn't figure out what her powers is.They run several tests on Summer to determine what her powers is.

But Summer flunked all the tests.Then as it turns out,Summer has the rare unique ability of enhancing the superpowers of other students.

Think of leech in x3 but the opposite of it.Yea,that's Summer's powers.

Summer will play a vital role in saving the school and it's students from the supervillians in the movie.

Summer is played by kate mara.

If you look at the poster,you can't see any powers displayed by Summer.

While clearly,you can see the powers displayed by other students such as strength,stretchy arms and invisbility.
