Scared to see what the price tag on that'll be.

So finally figured out my mouse clicking issue. For the last couple of weeks, I've been going back and forth on whether the new GNOME update, Fedora, drivers, or the mouse were causing my left-clicks to either register as single or double. Turns out the culprit was my Bluetooth Surface Mobile Mouse. Apparently, the Left mouse button wears down overtime and I just happened to reach that point after having it for 4 years. I changed the batteries, cleaned it out with canned air, reconnected the bluetooth, and the problem persisted. I finally figured this out when I switched my mouse setting to a left handed mode and reversed the buttons. Right works just as it should. Left is having all kinds of problems. So now I need a new mouse.

I bought an ergonomic keyboard before, but it had split keys and drove me crazy. Was comfortable, though. Same with an ergonomic mouse. I may buy this one.

When you're the weird PC gamer who prefers a controller over a keyboard and mouse.

It depends on the game for me. Mouse and keyboard is unbeatable for FPS games, RTS and other strategy games, as well as RPGs, but controllers are often better for certain third person action games and similar games that were developed/optimized for on console. I would never want to use a mouse and keyboard for one of the Arkham Batman games for instance.
One of the best things about PC gaming is you can choose whatever input you prefer. And yes, that includes the DDR mat. :sus

I'm K+M most of the time, especially if there's any aiming to do. I take out the controller for platformers and some games where you can just sit back and relax, or movement-only games like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, and other bullet-heaven games.

As for the Batman Arkham games, I played them all using K+M. Selecting the Bat-gadgets by pressing the 0-9 hotkeys is just easier/faster than going through the wheel with a controller.

RTX 50 series revealed last night. The 5070 with 4090 performance (with multi-frame generation) for $549 is good pricing I think.

Multi-frame generation is exclusive to the RTX 50 cards.

I will wait for benchmarks and $CAD pricing. Looks like it's either the 5080 or the 5090 for me, or if I'm patient enough, one of the Super/Ti variants down the road.

I expect to finally have time to do stuff within a couple of months. Didn't get time to use this pc much (outside of for work) but will look to upgrade it all when ready. Maybe get a good gaming laptop too. PC will be my main platform going forward.

For anyone open to all the platforms, pc just gets more attractive every year. It was Battlefield 3 where I first understood how crazy the difference was between console and a top end pc and things are just getting better with Sony and XBox exclusives moving to pc too, especially for anyone who isn't desperate for Day 1.

I have them all, including a decent PC rig, but it's hard to choose any one as best. Right now it's PC, next week it might be the Switch or the PS5 or the Series-X. Even the S/NES Classics come into rotation.

Fedora Gnome or Chromium broke using Web Apps as your default at one point, so now all my mail and phone links do nothing in Firefox. I had it set up so if I need to call someone Google Voice would open in Chromium and mail would open up Outlook in Chromium. :exhale:

This 5090 card looks crazy and not cheap haha. I'm behind on all this but want a beast to play on after all this time out and a very tough couple of years.

If you've got them all that's best as you want to get use out of all of them.

I think if people are limited to only one system and open to the extra work of pc (which a lot of console gamers aren't), it's going to take the crown in most scenarios.
