đŸ„‡Paris 2024 Summer Olympics

Why was she left out? Is the US women’s team usually as dominant as the men’s?

The reason was that she's still inexperience in the global stage basketball.
There were quite controversy about this topic that led to rumor that most of the current team member didn't want Clark on the team. Some say jealousy is playing a part in that (given the big attention CC got from the media). A shame, really...😐

Oh, hopefully it all resolves itself for next time and they all get on as well as playing well together.

ah...and the women's are as dominant as the men's as well.
In fact, they almost unchallenged compared to the men's.

And....this is the final medal table ranking!

Wow...Japan made it into top 3!!!😁
With 20 won golds! (And we had a small population compared to US and China!)
This also proved that our accomplishment 3 years ago in Tokyo wasn't a fluke! Shoutout and huge appreciation to all team JapanđŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”

There are no college players on the roster. This roster is full of seasoned experienced winners and many with European professional experience.
I’m a big Clark fan but she wasn’t ready for this. If anything, she would have sat mostly and learned like Haliburton or Jewel Lloyd today and a lot of fans would’ve been in an uproar like when Tatum sits and it would’ve taken the attention away from the mission: Gold.

The only way Clark doesn’t make it in 2028 is if she implodes somehow. Her trajectory is only uphill. And if Brink comes back healthy, and doesn’t make it, I see her on the 3x3 roster.

Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, Juju Watkins making the women's team along side A'ja and Breanna in 2028 will be equivalent to the 2024 men's Avengers team!

Speaking of Tatum got sidelined, I expect that this will fuel him (and JB for being omitted) even more coming into 2025 season.

Watch Tatum drop 50+ everytime he face the Warriors next season lol

Was Tatum really as mad as everyone else was about it? I knew his mom was mad.
There was no way they were going to play all 12 every game and Durant was always first string once he got healthy.

Tatum had a lot of chances to learn and grow with this for when he’s one of the center pieces in a few years.

Give Booker his flowers. Im usually indifferent to him a beat, but he pus aside his superstar persona and did everything asked of him. When they needed defense he played some of the best I’ve ever seen him play. He scored when he needed, and he made the extra pass to a teammate when I know he would’ve taken the shot in regular season lol.
Reminds me of the Kuzma tweet about how no one would take a backseat in the Olympics (paraphrasing) and Book replied “I’ll do it”.

Yeah, the Olympics is usually a very positive overall event. I’m very glad it exists and hopefully next time I’ll have much more time to watch everything.
