10 Reasons Why High Definition DVD Formats Have Already Failed

I don't plan on going hi-def for a long long time, when it's nice and cheap. I dont even really need it, as long as the picture is already crisp and clear enough to watch, Im happy. I dont need su per duper definition.

What Sony should have done if you ask me is if they really wanted to release Two Versions of the PS3 then they simply should have done one with Blu Ray & one with Regular DVD (which would have definitely been more cheaper) instead of the crap they are doing now

I'll get an HD-DVD player when its actually worth purchasing one.

Blu-Ray is Damn-Gay.

Also you can get DVD players that up convert regular DVD's to 1080i or 720p. But I got an HDTV cause I wanted to see what the 360 was supposed to look like. Cost me $2000 for a 32" LCD Samsung, and another $425 for a service plan.

Plus this morning I bought a component switcher and component inputs for my Xbox. X-men legends in 720p baby. :cyclops: :wolverine

What you see there is a mass of wires, controllers, DVD's, games, dust, and foam from a busted ass chair. Oh yeah and couch chusions. Remove those and there is no mess. I'm an expert on messes, I am a slob after all.

My own filth would be my s**t. That goes into the broken toilet thank you.

Technically it's an apartment not a room. Just with no kitchen. My room is just where my bed, comics, and action figures are.

SEE, YOU REALLY DO LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY; ALL THIS TIME, I THOUGHT THE TERM "WHITE TRASH" ONLY APPLIED TO CERTAIN AMERICANS. :O

It's not a trailer. The apartment is over my parents garage. Which incidentally only stores 1 1930's sedan that doesn't work. And half my dad's and grand-fathers junk. Which compared to mine is nothing. The garage is just overflow for the barn which is all but full. 50 years of car junk and 20 years of handyman junk pile up.

That would be a bad on account that all Playstation 3 games are being made with the blu-ray technology and not regular DVD technology. While blu-ray and HD-DVD will definetly not succeed in the movie world (I actually agree with the article 100%), it could work in the gaming world on account that they can hold a hell of a lot more data. And games have a lot more data than a movie.

HOW MUCH MORE ROOM DO YOU THINK GAMES NEED, WITHOUT BEING RIDICULOUSLY LONG?
'OBLIVION' CLOCKS IN AT JUST A LITTLE OVER 5GB, ON A 9GB DISK........AND THAT'S WITHOUT HAVING THE HDD TO RELY ON. :o

Only Japanese developers will need all of Blu-rays 25 gigs. They love to fill disks with movies and cut scenes. Which is what really eats space.

You mean the mark on the wall? Like that when I got there.

EXACTLY........WHICH IS PRECISELY WHY THE DVD9 IS STILL LARGELY SUFFICIENT FOR QUALITY GAMES. I HATED HAVING TO SIT THROUGH 10 HOURS OF CUTSCENES, TO PLAY 4 HOURS WORTH OF CONTENT, WITH THE 'MGS' GAMES; I SURE AS F*** DON'T GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT WATCHING EVEN MORE THAN THAT..........LET ALONE, WHETHER OR NOT IT'S IN F***ING HIGH-DEF.:down
