100 Most Inspiration Films of the previous 100 years

Animated films are so underrated when it comes to these lists Both Spirited Away and The Lion King should be present.

I was surprised movies like 2001, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List and a few others made the list as they were all very powerful movies and greatly emotional but none of them are exactly "inspirational" or movies that make you cheer anyway (Schindler's List ends powerfully and with hope and a sigh of small relief, however that is not really cheery).

Glad to see Glory, To Kill A Mockingbird, Rocky, Rudy and many others made the list. And yes for inspiration, the movie It's a Wonderful Life deserved to be number one (if not in the top 3) and is indeed one of the best movies ever made. So was Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, another great Jimmy Steart movie that made the top 10 as well.

Another great movie that didn't make the list is The Truman Show...you kinda sit there and root for him.

Nothing made in the past 10 years made the list at all.

On the other hand, what does Lord of the Rings inspire you to do? Go into the lair of the goblins and try to defeat their lord and master? Who are your Goblins and who is your lord?

Why wasn't Wild Wild West on there? That totally inspired me into willing to put my life on the line in the belief that Jon Peters will never ever be a good producer of genuinely faithful quality films

I've seen all three movies, and they were fantastic films... but the only one of the definitions of "Inspiration" that applies seems to be #2... some scenes did make me gasp in wonder.

I can't remember a whole bunch of them, but I know atleast one film from thepast 10 years made the list...Ray (2004).

My most inspirational film would have to be.....Forrest Gump (1994). I can watch it back to back to back and oce again, and still be amazed by the story. It gives you hope, and the lesson to be learned is that "even though you are different, you can make a difference".

Ray was brillant...even though blind he went on to become one of america's best loved musicans...that's inspiring.
