I know this isnt a "tech" messageboard. But I have been here for a while and thought i would test the water.

Anyway - I recently moved into the dorms for the fall and in my room there are two Ethernet Ports, each one with its own static IP address. I have 2 Network cards in my computer (one integrated on my MB, the other a PCI card) Is there anyway to set it up so one connection is my "upstream" and the other is my "downstream" in order to increase my speed?

No. Both cards will allow upstream and downstream network traffic. You CAN install two cards and multi-home them and possibly get some increase in speed, depending on how fast the network is and how much latency you have between your system and the 'net connection.

As jaguarr answered, you cant specifically set it up for 1 up and 1 down.

Again, like he said, you have use more than one network connection for yours, thus making the overall speed faster.

Then again, depending on your PC, the excess bandwidth is prolly faster than your PC can handle anyways..
