Maybe he has plans to trade both Francis and Marbury at some point, or maybe he's just totally stupid.

That's what I was thinking.

I really like the Cato trade but I'm dreading a Francis one. I have the feeling that they're going to give Francis up for a Pop Tart. This has seldom been a patient franchise, if something doesn't work immediately, they have to get rid of it.

Penny Hardaway & Brian Hill reunited in Orlando (which is what's gonna happen if Francis goes to NYK)= Akward

lol@ all these teams reuniting with there old coaches after Shaq leaves em for dead (Kobe and Phil and possibley Penny and Hill)

The ONLY thing I like about Penny is his expiring contract. He was the main reason Hill left in the first place, are they bestest friends now?

Teams that have disappointed me thus far: Seattle, NY, Miami, Detroit.

Ummmm, what? Did you expect Detroit to be undefeated?

Somehow 10 years ago when I hoped Penny and Grant Hill would play together in Orlando I didnt picture this

Still it will be nice to see Penny back in a Magic uniform (or not).

But I think it's hilarous. 7 years ago the Magic traded Penny. The hope was Orlando was gonna clear there salary cap and be a championship contender with All-Stars Tim Duncan, Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill returning to the Shaq and Penny days and once again be a 10 year dynasty that they envisioned and challenging the Lakers for the title. And Penny was gonna return to his all-star form of the previous 2 seasons back with Jason Kidd in Phoenix as Backcourt 2000 and win "4 or 5 championships" (a direct quote from Kidd)

Now they could be back together and worse off than they both were 7 years ago. Hell back then they were at least Eastern Conference Champion contenders (98-99) and Penny was a starter

I don't see LA coming out the West (right now) anyway, so Detroit is a non-factor. I just want to see them crash and burn... but they've got all the pieces in place, and they've got a pretty good coach... as a fan of basketball in general, they're good for the NBA. Personally though? I hope their team plane crashes.

i usually agree with you kipobe... but miami and detroit have exceeded my expectations... of course to my dismay...

but the show(lakers) are really disappointing its really apparent now we need someone other than kobe to be stable.... we need to make a trade...FAST!

Odom is the problem. He's not stepping up and doing the job... he's mediocre, and the Lakers need a second go to guy. They have plenty of third guy's and people who can step up and hit threes... and Phil Jackson preaches defence, so they've got a fair chance at being a good defensive team in the future.... but Odom is an issue.

And Miami should be giving Detroit some fair competition... they're not even close. ALthough more recently they're stepping it up... but they're incosistent.

I guess there's just no such thing as "elite" teams in the NBA this year other than the Pistons.

You really seem to know how a car works. You left me with a good thought and now you just pissed on it. I hope your head falls off in a mysterious culinary accident.

They should have kept Kazaam

agreed but kazaam didnt agree to eat less krispy kremes til he realized he couldnt get help otherwise in miami

I believe the problem in LA is that Mamba has the ball too much. Now granted, he should be taking all the shots, but it's a Catch-22. Those guys on the team have no clue how to act and just sit around and watch the Mamba show. That's pretty much their best strategy to win (I never thought I'd see Zen Master modift the Triangle like this).

Lamar is the kinda guy that needs to create, for himself and others. That's when he was most effective with the Clips and the Heat. Problem is, he can't do that in LA because Mamba is not a 'catch and shoot' player. He needs the ball...alot. It could potenitally work, because Lamar is multi-talented (ball handler, shooter, post game), but nobody's going to challenge Mamba for control of the ball.
