and come Friday, it'll be

23. Where the Wild Things Are
24. Paranormal Activity

I plan on buying a ticket to see WTWTA, then once that's over I'm going to theater hop into Paranormal Activity.

After that, there'll probably be about three or four movies that I'll check out.

Yeah, I went to the movies a lot in 2008. This year, not so much..

I've only seen Terminator Salvation and Watchmen (twice).

1.) The Dark Knight IMAX re-release
2.) Coraline
3.) Watchmen
4.) Earth
5.) Star Trek
6.) Terminator Salvation
7.) Up
8.) Drag Me to Hell
9.) Public Enemies
10.) District 9
11.) Inglourious Basterds
12.) 9
13.) Zombieland, but that was a free screening, not sure if it counts...
14.) Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3-D double feature

And the list just keeps growing!

That's 732 dollars on movies at the best theater in my city. You could have bought a kickass TV, a kickass computer, or a bunch of games with every console for that money.

Hmmm... Have the first two, and don't own, nor plan on owning, a console.

Plus, as I indicated, the actual list of what I had to pay for is considerably shorter.

Some of you guys have seen more movies this year than I've wanted to see (and not just in theaters) for the entire decade.

1. Notorious
4. Watchmen
9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Though I didn't pay for this....well....I saw it, so technically I did pay for it. :( )
10. Star Trek
11. Terminator Salvation
14. The Hangover
15. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
20. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

I paid for 14 movies. Underworld 3, Taken, Star Trek, Terminator 4, Drag Me to Hell, The Hangover, Transformers 2, Bruno, Funny People, G.i Joe, The Hurt Locker, Halloween 2, Gamer, and jennifer's body.

I've seen 57 movies this year overall, and counting.

1. Where the Wild Things Are
2. 2012
3. Ninja Assassin
4. Avatar in IMAX 3D

I guess here's what I've been to see since January 1st.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Defiance
He's Just Not That Into You
Watchmen
Monsters vs Aliens
Star Trek (3 times)
Terminator Salvation (2 times)
The Hangover (2 Times)
Transformers
Public Enemies
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (3 times)
GI Joe
District 9 (2 times)

So I guess I've been to the theater 20 times so far this year.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire this year but didn't count it since it was a December 2008 release. And I've seen several of the movies on my list multiple times; I just counted the different ones.

I'm very iffy on IMAX after seeing Paranormal Activity last night. I saw it on an IMAX screen and it gave me a huge headache because our seats were too close. I've never seen a true IMAX movie but I doubt I'd want to now unless I could sit in the very back row. It kills my head to have to continuously move my eyes around the screen.

In order of theatrical release:

My Bloody Valentine 3D
Taken (twice)
Coraline
Friday The 13th (twice)
Fired Up
Watchmen (twice)
Race To Witch Mountain
I Love You, Man
12 Rounds
Monsters Vs. Aliens
Fast & Furious
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Star Trek (3 times)
Terminator Salvation (twice)
Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian
Up
The Hangover
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (twice)
Public Enemies
Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince (twice)
G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra
District 9
Inglourious Basterds
Toy Story 3D double feature
Zombieland
