I'm looking forward to X Rebirth as well. I didn't put it on my list because I thought it already came out. :/

There are a couple of X games that have been released recently . This one is apparently a reboot to be more accessible and fun. In the case of this series, thats probably a good thing. As the game was generally more complicated than your average flight simulator. Once you wrap your head around it though, it truly is a sandbox game. You can do pretty open ended stuff like built fleets of ships and set them on trade routes to have your own business network for trading, mining and what not. You can become a pirate attacking trade ships. A police enforcer hunting pirates. You can eject from your ship and steal other ships. Join factions and own entire fleets of ships. Problem is, alot of it isn't very easy to understand or generally fun. Because you have to jump through so many hoops at a snail pace just to do the simplest things.

Is there a Black Ops 2 confirmed? And the name really is BO2?

It hasn't been announced yet, but Treyarch IS working on a new COD. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a direct sequel to BO. BO was very successful & Treyarch even left some easter eggs in the game that are hints at a sequel. Particularly that Sgt. Reznov might be alive.

Im definitely waiting for GTAV and hoping for a 2012 release, but the #1 game on my list is Tomb Raider. I was very impressed by what I saw from E3 and can't wait to see more in the next few months. Other than those two games and Mass Effect 3, there's not as much that I'm looking forward to.

Well, I liked BO's story, but I would prefer if they take a new route, show us a new story and possibly a war in a different time period.

I wouldn't doubt it. Activision gets less and less creative each year so I'm sure there'll be another Black Ops.
I still hope for a worl war One Call of Duty :o
But instead of BO you should call it CoD 2012 or CoD 9

Mass Effect 3 is definitely number 1 on my list. After that Master Chief's return has me very excited.

GTA V
Mass Effect 3

only 2 I find myself wanting to purchase.

Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider are my two most anticipated games of the year even though I didn't like the last Bioshock game that much.

I don't get why World War 1 is so ignored.
The only reason I can think of, is that games like Medal Of Honor and Call Of Duty basically carbon copy hollywood movies. Saving Pirate Ryan and Michael Bay being the obviose ones. As far as World War 1 goes, it doesn't really capture the public eye like World War 2 does, or saving America from Russians and Arabs. If the did take more interest, i'd hope for something more creative than this Call Of Duty nonesense. At this point (and long before it) the games feel undisguisable. The whole FPS genre is just over-saturated and not very good at the moment most likely because these bussiness suit people men are more interested in the moneys than the game, so, cynically just mimicking crap that sells. Which sadly, is Call Of Duty, until the end of time.

Neither did the creators of Infinite and BioShock 1...

Bioshock 2 was a better designed game. The designers of Bioshock (1) and Infinite would probably benifit for looking at what it did right that they did wrong. Like lame pipe games or super unbalanced only-thing-that-can-kill-you-is-big-daddys.

What is there about World War One that is interesting enough to make the game revolve around that?

Make what particular game revolve around it? From what I can see, practically every war has interesting multifaceted elements. With Call Of Duty, it would probably end up just being a bunch of spectacle peices with simple, linear gameplay. Total War could probably do it justice, that is multifaceted and generally aims for a target auidence above teenagers with higher ambitions than simply mimicking mainstream movies.

Any game. What was there about World War I that wasn't already made for WWII and bigger? Like, for example, the Pearl Harbor attack? I don't think there was weapons, vehicles or technology interesting enough on the WWI period either.

This seems like a really flat way of looking at things. It's not a bloody fun ride. Jesus.

Of course it is. It has to be. It is a game, it's supposed to be fun and to entertain, and you still didn't answer my question. I don't remember too much about WWI, but if you do, you can fill me in on what's interesting enough to be brought to game that wasn't already made by the other WWII games.

With World War One there were less advanced weapons, venom gas an other type of weapons were being created during that time, and horses were still used during that war, also, with WW II it's easy to dislike the Nazis, while in WW I there really wasn't any bad side, or so to speak.

I think a game about WW One could be awesome, unfortunatelly nobody seems to care, i'm sincerelly tired of WW I games and movies, and still, they are allways set in 1943-4 or after that, it's rare to see games or movies that show the first years of the war. Using any of these ideas would in least be different from what they're already doing, and would show a bit more diversity

Fighting mounted on horses could be interesting. It reminds me of Uncharted 3.

Yea... and games can do that beyond simple "bigger" which is why I specifcally used Total War as an example rather than Call Of Duty. It's basically "The Wire" of video games. Multiple aspects beyond simple "pew! pew!". I assume you are probably thinking of an FPS. Most likely the sea flume hand holding type in which you walk in a line and watch scripted sequences go off.

I didn't answer your question because it appears to be ridiculous. It's almost at the point of equating a Playstation 2 to a Playstation 3 (even though the Playstation 2 was actually better).

I don't think you understood my post. I'm not saying the games should be bigger, I'm saying that, whatever I know of war was already covered in other games and it was made bigger by each game, by giving story, characters, drama and increasing the action and giving a good sense of war.

What can a WWI game offer that a WWII game still hasn't? That's my doubt, a valid doubt because I don't really remember much about the first war. If you think that shouldn't be ignored, than you must know what this war had that is worth of putting into a media that is supposed to entertain. Lord answered. I'm waiting for you.

You didn't answer my question because you don't know the answer, so you keep saying it's ridiculous without explaining why. It's too easy to say something is ridiculous and even easier than come with a more elaborated post, so you simply come off saying that.
The Lord came with a better answer to that question, which was a simple doubt, and I didn't even need to ask him. He even sparkled a bit of interest inside of me with the mention of the use of horses in WWI. You, the person who couldn't understand why WWI is so ignored, simply avoided it instead of elaborating why it deserves to be made into game and dismissed my doubt.

That's what I'd call ridiculous.
