What did they say ?

In a nutshell:

1) The Ravens execs received a detailed description of the 2nd Rice video hours after it initially took place earlier this year.

2) Ravens brass asked Goodell for a lenient suspension no more than the 2 games he was given "as a favor".

3) Ravens coach John Harbaugh initially asked the Ravens management for permission to immediately release Ray Rice and was denied.

They all knew, didn't care (except Harbaugh) and backtracked when the public outage began. They should all be ashamed of themselves and Goodell should definitely be shown the door now. :down

This story coupled with Goodell's press conference is shameful.

Kick this guy out of office.

I love how Goodell wants to enact all these policies now, and try to get in our good graces.

Seriously...... there's no way these new policies will save his job.

It's no longer a matter of IF, its a matter of when.

These new policies do nothing anyway. It takes public outage for the NFL to act properly on anything

Did they provide any proof? Because if they didn't, this is all fantasy. And I find it hard to believe the same John Harbaugh who said all that crap on the behalf of Ray Rice these past 6 months was the one that wanted to cut him immediately.

Goodell is not losing his job unless,

A) They prove he saw the tape.

B) Sponsors start pulling out.

Without one of those two, the owners like him too much. This is what they pay him to do. To stand in as their villain and make them money. He does both very well. The most recent poll says out 25% think Goodell show lose his job. There is a reason why Budweiser threatened but didn't pull out. They all make too much money. No one is turning off their televisions or changing the channel. People haven't stopped playing fantasy football or betting. Right now they can totally weather this. As long as the investigation goes his way, he should be fine.

Good questions as their words means nothing just because they are on TV & ****

The think about OTL is they usually have plenty of actual evidence to back up their claims. But in this case there has been a lot of hearsay, and "we were told", without any actual proof.

They spoke to 20 sources.

Where is the NFLPA in all this?
They have barely said a word.
Goodell is getting rake over hot coals, which he derserves.
But in my opinion the NFLPA should also feel the heat for not being more
proactive with players.
Do something NFLPA besides ***** about the Commissioner.

Its so hard to be a Ravens fan right now :csad:

The NFLPA does not deliver punishments. The issue isn't that the NFL players are getting in trouble, the issue has been the soft response to the NFL players getting trouble and even turning a blind eye to its stars in trouble.

Exactly, the green will win out.

I've been watching clips of Sean Taylor for a few minutes now, and I just realized this hit of his would probably be considered a flag in today's NFL.

Yeah, the AFC North is definitely interesting right now. Who knows who will win that division?

I'm a few days late but...the Browns
.
I think the one team you can count out is my Browns. May have beaten the Saints sunday, but I have zero faith in them.

Spider-Fan youre upsetting me! Us Cleveland fans need to be overly optimistic and stick together until we're stastically eliminated! (Which is usually like week 6 :) )

But in all seriousness if they win tomorrow, which is very possible at home, after the bye week they have 5 very possible wins, including the at home rematch vs Pittsburgh.

At this point I'm very excited for this season. But that can all change around 4pm tomorrow lol.

They were in 1st last year, and look what happened :(

Former Titans kicker Rob Bironas was killed in a car crash.

Just saw that,man. Damn.

Yes! WR Mohammed Sanu just threw it to QB Andy Dalton for a touchdown. That was great.
