Tonight we have our 2014 Toilet Bowl: Titans/Jaguars.

I generally try not to b***h about Thursday night football too much, because I'm such an NFL addict that I watch damn near every game I can. I wish it was on every night of the week. But I certainly won't be tuning in for this one. I mean, who thought this was a good idea? You didn't need a crystal ball to tell you that these teams were both probably going to suck this year and that no one would be interested in a matchup of the two of them, especially this close to the playoffs.

But maybe it's just intended to whet our appetites for the SPECIAL SATURDAY NIGHT EDITION OF THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WHICH DOESN'T TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY BUT IT'S STILL THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL EVEN THOUGH IT TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY WHICH IS NOT THURSDAY. And this week we have two(!) Saturday Night Thursday Night Football games. And sadly, they're both kind of irrelevant, since each one features a team that is out of the playoff hunt. But it would be amusing if the Chargers and the Eagles both missed the playoffs because they laid eggs against the dumpster fires that are the Redskins and the 49ers.

Who am I kidding, though? The Redskins couldn't beat a junior high team.

The Jaguars used the third pick in the 2014 Draft on a franchise quarterback. But Blake Bortles hasn't quite lived up to expectations, and they've got their eye on a certain Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon.

But the Titans have other ideas. Their quarterback situation is such a cesspool that they just resorted to adding Alex Tanney, the Greatest Quarterback in YouTube History. The Jaguars will have to put forth a Herculean effort if they want to lose to Tennessee.

Yeah, is it just me, or is QB play getting worse and worse overall? You of course have plenty of standouts but those guys are getting older, and the younger QBs not named Luck or Wilson are all looking pretty bad.

Yeah, what sucks is if you are a fan of one of those teams and they don't get lucky by finding a good QB in the draft or free agency, then it could be a long road back to respectability, much less prosperity.

To be fair, I'm not sure the Redskins will ever find their way back to the realm of respectability unless Dan Snyder finally gives up and sells the team to someone who isn't a total a**hole.

Haha yep! I saw that last Sunday. So stupid. Why don't they just call it Saturday Night Football? I understand branding, but come on. This would be like if Pizza Hut started selling hamburgers but insisted that they be called pizzas.

Well, if Cam becomes a free agent, those teams will be scratching and clawing each other to hand him a contract. Him joining The Rams, Bears or Cardinals would make one of them a juggernaut.

Winston is gonna be a bust. I watched a few of his games this season and he didn't look all that impressive. Especially with those 17 INT.
