2016: the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek

I think Star Trek would do better on a cable network or streaming service (Netflix) than on broadcast television (CBS, NBC, etc…)

Agreed I think a lot of 'cult' shows do, saying that I'm British though. Hopefully CBS will see the light. An animated show even would be a step forward.

I would very much prefer live-action, but I'd take an animated series if it was well done. I could live with that. And yes, you're right, even that would be a step forward.

More than likely, we'll get anther movie that follows Star Trek: Into Darkness & perhaps in a year or 2, we might get another series.

Well they are planning on releasing the third ST film in 2016, but I feel like we should get more than that for the 50th. Even if its just a documentary or some sort of reunion, I think I would be satisfied.
