The Amazing Spider-Man 2 3D for ASM 2

It isn't being filmed in 3D, but I'm pretty sure it'll get post-conversion.

sony would be crazy not to go 3D with this film, it would be more beneficial to them, maybe not to the folk who don't like 3D but profit wise for sony

I hope not. That last shot with Spider-Man shooting a web at the camera was cheesy and exactly why I hate 3D movies. It is like they want you to go "OOOHHH WOAHHHHHHHH!!!!" :o

They got rid of that horrid suit, get rid of the 3D and that is a huge help.

No 3D. For the love of God....

I don't care for 3D, they can go 3D if they want as long as I'm not forced to watch it. However, there definitely would be a problem if they shoot scenes with angles just for 3D effect.

lol

If they're converting it to 3D, you can bet your ass that there's going to be "lol 3d movie guis rememba" moments.

The first movie had it, this one will too, if it's gonna be in 3D... which it probably will.

Why americans hate 3D?
In europe, everyone loves 3D, At least in my country.
All movies are bought on Blu-Ray 3D, and its very great.

Why would anyone complain about 3D, when image is very clean, and looks more awesome.
Maybe your eyes are bad and cant see effects, i heard that it was a case.

if it's post converted into 3D, i'll be seeing it in 2D.

Same, unless its IMAX.

I thought the 3D in ASM was 'okay' but the first person shots in 3D were the best 3D I've even seen (other than Avatar) I actually felt a bit of vertigo.

Post-conversion to 3D is not inherently bad people.

Marc Webb said that 3D cameras don't allow him to film a movie the way he wants.
That's why they'll use film cameras and maybe digital as well..
35mm film camera I heard..

Go to the image thread..the first picture Webb tweeted shows a film camera

And yeah post converted 3D maybe

He uses same camera as they used in Spider-Man 2, this means more comics color, a little bit old looking movie picturue effect.
In TASM everything was too clean and modern, while this camera what they use, is more like art, more older looking and has some color awesome

i wonder what he mean't by that, i dunno anything about Cameras so im not sure why 3D would ruin anything

TASM is good looking movie, but people complained that picture is too clean, and looks too good and more like documental movie.

So, now they use same camera as in Raimi Spider-Man 2, which means color effects, more this older feel, maybe even more a comic book movie feel.

In short... 35mm cameras gives film grain effect
Django Unchained - 35mm
Dark Knight Rises - 35mm

The 3D in the first film truly sucked. The worst I'd ever seen, I mean that. And they were so promoting that red-cam as being the best 3D imagery they'd ever seen. please. What were they on??? If they can't even make the Spidey 3D look as good as Avatar's, I'd say drop it...

On a sidenote. It's really embarrassing that Cameron took Titanic (a 16 year old film), that wasn't shot in 3D to begin with. Than he fiddles around in the computer and releases his baby on bluray 3D, and it looks GORGEOUS! I didn't see it in theater. But I bought it and saw it on my 63 inch plasma, and my God does it look incredibly good! Somewhat better then Avatar even, in my opinion... But than. A new movie, filmed with a new 3D camera (which they promoted like hell) produces the worst 3D ever seen within Amazing Spiderman!?? I don't get it. I really don't.

People really complained about that? I myself found the clean and modern visuals great, a very nice change from Raimi's films! Disappoints me quite much that they're going back to that.

Hell, the vibrant colours of TASM is one of the things I really loved! The colors really stood out! Makes me sad that they listen too much to some complaints (even though I'm happy when it comes to the costume).

IMAX is the superior choice between that and 3D, BUT...IMAX has a time limit that hurt The Dark Knight Rises. If any of Webb's TAS-M films can stay below that time restraint, I'd rather him film in IMAX any day.

Not to get into another Batman conversation but I just wanted to say that I think the film would suffer if it had been longer. It was very long already.

It would be awesome to have a Spidey film in IMAX, even though I've never seen an IMAX film itself but from what I've heard it's really something.

I never mind long films myself. The more the merrier if it enhances the story and gives everything its due. Spider-Man 3 needed to be longer and so did TAS-M, imo.
