"Not an act of terrorism" but the length that driver went was not someone who accidently took a wrong turn and panicked either. You don't drive several blocks by mistake.
So new update says the driver might have been fleeing another crime scene... which I have to wonder what the other crime was that they thought committing this crime was somehow not as bad by comparison.
UPDATED: An 8-year-old boy was the sixth person to die as a result from injuries sustained when a driver plowed an SUV through a crowd gathered to watch a holiday parade. The boy’s death was confirmed by both local and national media.
The suspect in the case, Darrell E. Brooks, 39, appeared in court today to face five counts of first-degree intentional homicide. According to CNN, prosecutors “will consider a sixth homicide charge, due to the child’s death.” Brooks’ bail was set at $5 million.
I can see lessened bail laws for first time non-violent offenders, but this guy had a history of bad crimes. He should have had a high bail for being a repeat offender.
