A Florida driver has been accused of hitting a cyclist on Monday and then dumping the injured man two miles away, behind trash cans at his apartment, before going home to sleep.

Axel Inostroza was arrested in Pompano later that day after taking his blood-spattered Ford Mustang car in for repairs.

The 53-year-old victim, Craig Camlin, is in critical condition and could be left paralyzed from spinal injuries after being thrown on to the trunk of a car.

Inostraza, 27, allegedly told police he had been drinking before hitting Mr Camlin at about 6.30am.

With Mr Camlin injured and trapped on the car's spoiler, he continued to drive to his apartment, where he dumped the cyclist behind some trash cans, police said.

At Inostraza's court appearance yesterday, Judge John Hurley described the severity of the injuries, CBS Miami reported.

We can't blame DJ. He's doing his 15 minutes. :p

This is so what the ****ing **** that I don't even know where to begin! How did this driver drive with a human being trapped on his spoiler all the way to his apartment without someone seeing and reporting it?

They probably thought it was a giant insect, they get pretty big down there. That's what the back windshield wiper is for right?
I guess his wasn't working.

Also I don't get how he ended up on the back, did he load him up there? Back into him? Or was he hit in the front thrown all the way over the top, and land on the back?

It was at 6:30 in the morning so I'm assuming that at that hour it there weren't as many people out and depending on sunrise it might have not been light enough to see him there, if anyone did see him at all.
