5 ways Hollywood tricks you into seeing bad movies!

One way is to pull on your nostalgia and/or fandom strings. I've seen crap like Scooby Doo, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Transformers, etc. because of my fandom of these franchises.

Y'know I did keep saying to myself throughout Jarhead, when's the action gonna start. I really thought it might be another Three Kings, boy was I mistaken.

I skipped it after hearing from multiple people it was really about some soldiers being cry babies wondering if their girls were cheating on them.

Haha, good article. Just watched the two Good Luck Chuck trailers. They're right, the first one actually made the movie look pretty interesting and rather funny. Then when it became Alba Oriented it looked rather lame and boring, but hey, they wanted more box office numbahs!

Haha, interesting article. A lot of those movies did suck..except Sweeney Tood ;)

They were spot on about Gretchen Mol. Haha.

great epic trailer with strong epic music and editing = somethings up.

The worst movie I ever paid for was Constantine. That movie was a TOTAL snow-job in my opinion.

A. It came after 'The Matrix.'
B. It dealt with a really cool topic.
C. It was based off a semi-popular comic.
D. It had Keanu Reeves in it.

I couldn't stay awake for this damn thing and left the theatre with no clue as to what it was about.

Cracked gets an EPIC FAIL for even thinking that "Sweeney Todd" and "Almost Famous" were bad movies.

I have never cared about Kate Hudson. This poster has changed my mind.

For the record, Terry, that's the only Kate Hudson movie that doesn't suck ass.

Sweeney was my favorite film of the year, and I was also disappointed by the advertisement. Johnny sang no more than three lines in the first trailer.

Ummm...it doesn't say those were bad movies. It says the advertisement was bad. Did you read the article?

It makes sence,if you show something off a certain way..it can be great..even when it's really bad. Like Superman Returns.

Well, the headline says Hollywood is tricking you into seeing bad movies. While I agree on the misleading advertising, there were some good films on that list (Almost Famous, Sweeney Todd, Brokeback Mountain).
