As Halloween comes to end in a snowy way in my part of the world, there is one one movie to watch, or technically more. To continue the marathon I have been doing for 4 years.
32. Halloween (1978)
The classic that started it all.
33. Halloween (2018)
The requel that brought Michael Myers back. May technically be the best of the new trilogy, but, really, I don't think its my favorite of the trilogy.
34. Halloween Kills
I know why its disliked, and there were plenty of things that weren't handled that great in it. But, the title promises kills, and dear god, does Michael deliver. Very entertaining kills, even if Laurie is a bit sidelined.
35. Halloween Ends
Yeah, I get it, Michael is king, yadda yadda yadda. How dare they try something different. I don't care. I fell in love with Corey the moment he killed a kid in a greatly hilariously way in the opening moments of the film. People may hate it, but I love the ending to the new trilogy.
Last night of the season. Done a lot of movies over the past eight weeks or so, so thought it'd be fun to put together a little collection of gifs for my 50 favourites.

Another new film to me. Chosen by one of the above friends as I was at a loss of what to watch, I have so much I need to get through. I feel like I both failed and succeeded this month with my movie choices. So many flicks I need to still see. but it will have to wait a month as it's now time for 30 days of action!
We reached the 31st night.
31 nights already? How time flies...way too fast.
With the Final movie i end my 2023 Halloween Marathon.
A Marathon with a lots of ups and downs.
Hits, misses but all in all great to build the Mood for this season.
I just love the Halloween season and wish every year Germany would embrace it more.
We slowly do, which i love.
This year i got a lot of friends together to celebrate.
We had a lot of food, everyone had Costumes and even had a few Kids go trick or Treating.
It was a ton of fun.
And so was watching the Final Halloween Marathon movie later with a lot of people sitting around and all.
Really cool.
And what better way to end this Marathon, this Month with one of the best Halloween Movies.
A movie that managed to become this special Movie for the 31st.
A Movie i have considered a Tradition to watch on this Date to celebrate Halloween.
Trick R Treat
A Few have the movie in their List as the Final movie, so i dont think i need to say too much about it.
It is just too good and brings you into the Halloween Mood so completely.
The movie just works and never gets boring.
Every year and every year i enjoy it the same way.
This year was no different, it was even better this year because i had friends over and all.
It was just such a good vibe and we had a great time...the movie was a fantastic ending for this all.
Im enjoying this season so much, reading everyones thoughts on the movies they watched, what movies they watched and all that.
Its absolutely one of my favorite times of the year.

Christmas movies have a different vibe to me, so im not even sure how to build a Marathon on that.
Mostly i just enjoy the Christmas time...it has something calming to me.
So im not sure if i will be in the mood for a Marathon or so.
We will see.
Unfortunately I couldn’t squeeze in a movie on Halloween night, but I watched a lot of stuff over the last month and had a great time reading everyone’s reviews. This annual event has become the main reason I stay around the forum, so I’m thankful for it. I’ll continue to post in the “Last movie watched” thread.
My girls came over, we had a drink (or two), perhaps an edible (or two), and I finally got around to seeing this for the first time:
Halloween Ends (2022)
I'll post my thoughts (probably in the main Halloween Series thread) once I shake off last night's festivities. But now that I've seen all three of Green's rebooted Halloween movies, I can honestly say I love this new trilogy

Perfect viewing for the special day. That's a wrap on the spooky season, folks!
There's a 4 hour making of called "Michael Lives" and it's one of the coolest behind the scenes docs I've ever seen. Shows everything from casting, writing, makeup, stunts, camera, Rob being stressed the hell out on the phone with the Weinsteins... It's awesome.
I want to thank everyone for their contributions in here. Unfortunately I struggled fitting in time for a satisfying list to share this time around but I did thoroughly enjoyed reading everybody else's lists and thoughts throughout the last couple of months

26. [rec]
Managed to complete the marathon this year!!!!
27. [rec] 2 (2009)
Y'all did not lie, this is for sure one of the greatest horror sequels. While I still hate how inconsistent the effects of the "virus" are, that's not so much a problem now that we're in Part 2. I LOVE how big of a swing they took, and somehow managed to pull it off.
I have mixed feelings about the teen plot - while the amateur style of their scenes harkens back to the roots of FF, it does kill the tension without adding much. Otherwise, I'd rate this one higher than the original. And the 'doctor' here is one of my favorite new performances from this month.
28 [rec] 3 (2012)
What the **** is this movie??? Can't seem to decide if it's a comedy or a horror, and barely seems to have anything to do at all with Parts 1 & 2. Which is wild considering how directly connected the first two installments were. It's very funny - usually for the wrong reasons - and I can't complain about a hot bride running around killing zombies with a chainsaw, but this was a huge letdown after what came before.
29. The Fly (1986)
Cronenberg's masterpiece holds up both as a pioneering work of body horror and a perfect capturing of the Classic Monster subgenre for the modern era. All of the classic tropes are there - the loner scientist, the love interest, the boorish rival, the inevitable transformation - but its woven so well it never feels trite or outdated. And, of course, the affects are timeless, as is pre-fusion Goldberg.
30. Suspiria (1977)
Look, I enjoy movies like Hereditary as much as everyone, but gosh, I wish we had people still making horror like THIS today. So much color. So much sound. Beautiful and terrifying.
