It is very funny i agree,especially when he's hauling ass around that big mansion grounds at the end with that 4 hole rocket launcher and guys are simply running out in droves to die like rent a hench'st:

i think they took he idea from the book to make Commando 2 and then Arnold turned it down. They changed it a bit, called it Die hard and gave Arnold the tittle role again, he truned them down again.

The Original book was a sequel anyway.

This was based on a book by Roderick Thorp entitled "Nothing Lasts Forever" -- a sequel to another book entitled "The Detective", which in 1968 was made into a film starring Frank Sinatra. Coincidentally, Bruce Willis made his movie debut in The First Deadly Sin (1980) walking out of a bar as Sinatra walks into it.
