A Conundrum of Sorts

We all are familiar with the popular notion that no matter who Batman fights, so long as he’s granted prep time, Batman will always come out victorious.

A friend of mine then posed the question, of who would win in a fight between Batman and Batman? What if our regular DCU Batman went up against a parallel universe Batman, and both were the same age, had the same weapons, same fighting skills, etc, with the only difference between the two being so miniscule that it wouldn’t have any impact on the fight at all. For instance, the alternate universe Batman’s hair is a different color. And both felt compelled to fight the other with equal reason or determination.

Who would win, DCU Batman or Alternate Batman, and why?

Reminds me of a Justice League episode with the other universe Justice League called the Justice Lords. Batman fights the other Batman in his batcave, its all shadowy so you don't see whos talking. It feels like Bruce Wayne is having a conversation with Batman.

Even moreso, if their only difference is hair color, then there will be no winner. Both will come up with the same strategies, both will tire at the same time. Chances are, they wouldn't fight, it'd be a staring match until they both simultaneously realize that there is no victory for either.

See I brought that up, but my friend is so dead set about there being a clear cut winner, that he kept putting the two in situations that forced them to fight, anywhere from them both having loved ones being held hostage and they have to fight before they're free to them both just wanting to see if they could beat themselves out of curiosity and wanting to test their combat abilities.

Just thought I'd try and get other people's opinions and perspectives on this.

In the back of my mind I've always been vaguely aware that, one day, DC will have a Crisis featuring a Superboy-Prime-eseque alternate universe Batman as the villain. And now, with Bruce gone, there'd be no one to stop him and his collection of stolen power rings! Haha.
