A couple version of Lifesong's "Everything"

I personally didn't find them as inspiring or moving as this version, which is still my favorite.

My church in Dallas did this presentation last year; I almost broke at the finale.

Never noticed that in the thread title, but yes its Lifehouse.

yea that's the original. it's my favorite too. i tear up everytime i see god pulling/drawing the girl back to Him and then bearing all the sins of the world for her then break them away. gosh it's a really powerful message. don't you think?

What's the name of your church Moviefan? My church is in baton rouge, louisiana it's calle Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.

Moving?

Kind of confusing and cheesy. But not moving. The interpretive dance one was pretty gay. And this is coming from someone who listens to Madonna, Prince, and Pet Shop Boys. It's really hard to out-gay those people.

I'm just kidding...mostly.

But anyway, even if I was Christian, and Christianity "moved me" in some way, I'd still find these videos to be ******ed.

But hey. Just me.

I'm not sure how I feel about the video. I liked it on one hand. But on the other hand I feel like with the first part they are saying you have to be totally devoted to god and can't have any other type of social life.

Also the "gangster" in the beginning seems kinda stereotypical

The church I go to is simply called Springcreek Church. If you like, you can visit the website at this link.

i'm a christian and have a social life. sure i dont go sleeping around or having sex with anyone and everyone, but life is good. i have my struggles and some the just are hard to break but I try to live for God daily.

The whole gansta thing is just a symbol or the things/people we can get caught up in. The whole video is about being in the will of God then having someone come in and take God place, then it leads to finding other false loves like alcholism, drugs, beauty (which world really stresses on us all), and lastly the suicide scene. God comes in and draws her back into his will and strips away all the sins and bears her sins...blocking them from harming her.

I'm not trying to preach. God tells us in His Word that He has plans for us, plans to prosper, plans for us to live life and live it in adundance. God has plans for me, u and everyone and when we're in His Will we dont need the false loves the world has to offer. We're not missing out on anything. If we are were missing out on hardship, and the struggles that come with alcoholism, drugism, striving to meet the beauty requirements of the fassion world, and etc. God trys to draw us away from those things to keep us from harm not to keep us from having a little fun.

I'm sorry if I'm preaching. Tryin not to. I just feel moved to explain. Satan has power. He's mighty powerful. He has the right to sugar coat sin and make it look sooo fun and intriguing, but it use leads to pain and suffering. Satan is every every every good at what He's been doing for thousand and thousands of years. He's the master of deception. Lucifer comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Nothing more nothing less. It's a spiritual war that constantly goes on. Yes we can't see it. Yes it's not tangible, but by faith and by what the Word says it has be going on since the beginning.

P.S. I hope this helps out with whatever questions or concerns you have. Feel free to ask at anytime what you may.

Well I guess its better than Josh Groban's '' you raised me up'' :o

Do you drink?

I don't find them moving or inspiring but christianity can do that to me so I don't feel I can vote in your poll. Funny thing is the song itself moves me more than the videos ever could.

Do you drink?

From time to time but it's usually around family, so getting drunk isn't what i'm about. I'm not into waking up with a pounding headache from not controlling myself the nite before. I will say that i'm not into the party scene going out to the clubs and following the flow that everyone continually does just b/c it's the "cool" thing to do. Nah i'm not for that. Drinking not wrong, they drank in the Bible with meal but drunkness is wrong.

i agree that the song is moving in itself. good thought. :)

Do you believe that drunkenness in and of itself is immoral? If so, why?

In the Bible, It says that drunkenness is wrong. It's actually an act of doing harm to your body. Drunkenness can and will weak vital organs and components of the body that result in a shorter life. God tells in His Word that Our Body's are a Holy Temple and he should treat it with care. Drunkenness is definitely not treating the body with care therefore it would be wrong b/c you're causing harm to yourself. So yes I do believe drunkenness in and of itself is immoral. The Bible says it. I'm telling to believe it but that's what the Holy Book says. Take it as you may.

K, just needed that to be made clear.

Anyhoo, you really don't find these videos to be cheesy at all? I'm not ridiculing, but you have to acknowledge some level of dorkiness in those videos. Especially the interpretive dance one.

I actually find the song really moving and in a way the video, I took it less of a realigious thing though. In a way I thought of the God character as my friends who I know will be there for me and my family. It made me think about how I want to help people and protect them.

Why is the last option "Christianity doesn't move me at all" when it should just be a simple no? Some people may just not care for the videos and have it be unrelated to Christianity
