A little help here

Hey kind of a newbie in buying comics here, but I need a little help. I always bought my comics on wizarduniverse.com from the wizard magazine, but right now I wnated to buy both covers of ultimate spidey issue 100 and the site list it as 40 freaking dollars!. So does anyone know of any site, company or whatever where I can get my variant covers cheaper?

i know this is kinda obvious so i dont mean to patronise: um... look at your local comic shop? they must be listed

Normally I'd suggest that maybe he/she doesn't have a local comic book shop, but, DGrayson, if you really live in New York City, there are like a thousand of them. You're in comic shop heaven. Granted, I doubt many of those shops will have the variant cover for anything under $10 or $15, but that'd still be better than $40 plus shipping and handling, if that applies.

I can guarantee, youre getting ripped off at Wizard Universe, seek out a LCS, c'mon NYC. If you dont like leaving the house, you have Midtown Comics for gods sake. Either shop there, or at their website. I think you can set up in store pick up from the site.

Jesus man, e-bay's cheaper than wizard! I got the Mcguiness varient of civil war 3 for £6 on e-bay They want $60 for it from wizard and the copy I got is as close to mint as I've ever seen!

I refuse to buy the same comic with a different cover anyway. I'd just as soon find a picture of it on the web, minus all the writing on it, and save it to my desktop if I wanna look at it so bad. But you know, that's just me.
