"Genre: Action / Adventure / Fantasy / Sci-Fi / Thriller
Staring Tobey Macguire, Kristin DUnst, Thomas Hayden Church, James Franco, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard Theresa Russell, James Cromwell.

Third film in the highly successful "Spider-Man" series sees several new villains and a new woman enter Peter Parker's life. With his secret now revealed to both Mary Jane and Harry, Peter must face the consequences of his actions and his new life together with Mary Jane as they finally form a relationship. Yet their newfound open display of love has yielded some unfortunate results, not the least of which is Peter's upset boss determined to make his life hell for causing his son emotional distress. Not helping is a young investigative reporter named Eddie Brock who Jameson has hired to find out why Mary Jane dumped his son for Peter - what's Parker's secrets? At the same time an escaped prisoner hiding out on a remote beach is caught in a dreadful accident and finds himself turned into a shape-shifting sand creature. Peter's investigations into the past of this 'Sandman' brings him in contact with two very different things that will inevitably alter his life. The first a young woman named Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city's new police chief who is developing a soft spot for Peter. The other, a black substance from an accident scene which 'merges' with Peter's costume and gives him new found abilities. Things come to a head however when Harry Osborn, determined to take revenge against Peter for his father's death and now equipped with what he needs to pull it off, teams with The Sandman in a new variation of his father's Green Goblin guise and causes mayhem. In the ensuing chaos lives are lost, including people very close to Peter, whilst the black substance covering his suit separates from him and merges with a distraught Brock to form something else entirely - a creature unlike anything he's ever faced. A 'Venom' that he may not be able to stop.

That "description" is followed up with a claim that it was taken from a leaked script on this page:

http://www.darkhorizons.com/2007/spiderman3.php

sounds neato though...

The other description stated that Venom and Sandman would team up, not GG and Sandman.

i believe boom is right although this may seem old it says harry and markko team up not markko and brock

Though this descrpition has given us MUCH info with regards to the movie plot- i can't WAIT to see it translated on film!! There sounds like so much is going to happen, and i just hope they don't cut too many corners trying to deliver this awesome story in just 2 hours! I'm hoping they extend it to about 2 and half hours, just to be on the safe side!! I can now tell that they're pulling out all the stops for this film, and it's for all the loyal fan support for the making the Spider-Man franchise a success. Because honestly, i would've been happy with just the Sandman, and Harry as the Goblin- with a "possible" return of Norman for the thrid installment. So to have Venom in the mix, this movie will definitely be a treat for us fans.

wow...I hope this is the plot outline! and why would Brock be distraught?

Eddie likes Gwen.

Gwen likes Peter.

Can you imagine if they split this film in two like QT did with Kill Bill? They may say they're filming one movie but it could very well be two.

we know this..the statement Brock is distraught, is stated after it states "lives are lost"..I know some Hollywood magazine said Howard will be returning, or should be for next one ( I forgot where this info was (posted on here before)) but is this accurate? Didn't Lakimai ( the guy with Q&A ) say something about Gwen being caught in the fight, in response to someone's questions? I wonder if the magazine is inaccurate, and Gwen will bite the dust, making Brock angry, distraught, and in the perfect mindset to make him become Venom..thoughts?

I like how this sounds, the way they are introducing Eddie Brock (because of JJ)

This movie continues to excite me more and more everyday. Why can't it be May 2007 already? :(

I think this sounds right actually. Sandman, then Sandman and GG- then Venom just before the end leading to him being the dominant villain for the 4th movie. A cliffhanger ending? sounds fun.

I doubt it's going to be a cliffhanger ending since #4 will be handled by a completely different cast and crew. They're probably going to make it so the first three movies are a complete story arch like they did with X-Men.

I want to see 2 x-men movies which build up to apocolypse.. with sinister as the main villain for 1

then have the third one be all apocolypse.. and then... magneto's return :D

also.. I remember Raimi saying he'd be done after 3

but he's also second guessed it... and if he is the Spidey fan that he has proven himself to be... he'll be back eventually

Sounds like something that could be pretty acurate though ya know. Would make sense if it is true

i feel like i've read this already.

I'm guessing Pete may play a part in Gwen's supposed death?

Everyone likes evil dead and army of darkness....they liked xena and hercules...But what else did Raimi do? He should consider what's more important...being famous for something he likes anyway or quitting after 3 and fading away into b movies.

Lives will be lost? Lives dear to peter? Hmmm...in these movies he only has 3 people that are important to him MJ, chocolate cake girl and aunt may. And unless Harry dies, then I'm going to be pissed. MJ, and aunt may don't do die in the comics, why kill them here? X-men 3, anyone?
