ah.. you know the drill.. human guy, gets visited by alien, gets to transform himself into giant cyborg to fight nasty monsters... hey, stranger things can happen.. if the TRANSFORMERS goes over big, I bet that Ultraman won't be far behind.. t:

so... come up with a cast.. don't feel compelled to match it to the Japanese-based original..

They also had a darker tv-series to boot that was made as well, they both bombed big time, and the newest series I believe reverted back to the kiddie formula. I imported Ultraman Next since I'm a Kaiju fan, it's pretty cool if you're into Kaiju, but at times it tries to be far too ambitious in terms of special effects.
