On the official site, there's scoring in the background, instead of whatever noise they had before...

Is this score part of John Powell's score? If so, me likes. This is what the score of this movie should sound like.

OMG...This is SOO John Powell..

I just watched United 93, another film he scored, and I can hear some of the similarities..

Sounds good!

Its in the Jean/Logan clip shown with Famke on that talk show.

Hmmm...Maybe there was no temp music in that one..

No I don't think so...they sound similar but themes do carry over a lot so you never know...but I think it sounds great so far, both the kimmel clip and the website...

I think John Powel did a good job, thumbs up to that! ;)

who did xmen 2? i think the music fomr it rocked, even if fantastic four tried to copy it lol

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :D

John Ottman scored X2...The music should be familiar in F4 because he did that one too.. :p

A question id have is if hes keeping the main x2 theme.

Why would Powell keep Ottman's theme now? I wouldn't like that...

If they were to do that, then Ottman should've borrowed some of Kamen and then for Powell to carry some of Kamen's over into X3 too, but since there is no real establishment of an overall theme for the movies (unlike Spider-Man or Superman), I don't think it's gonna happen.

I'd rather Powell do his own thing then borrow themes from the previous films. I'm not a big fan of Ottman's score in the first place, so I'd rather have something new and fresh anyways.

Hmm... perhaps not. Thats true. But you could go either way with that: play it safe and give a blend of previous themes with originality to tie the film in with the other 2, particularly x2 since folks remember this the most as the x men theme. Stuff like that helps homogenize appearance for part 3s. But if you deviate, it needs to be damn good. Stepping out of the well known for a part 3 is a tricky maneuver, and the strategy gets more intricate. If done wrong or even mediocre itll look like the odd one out. People may prefer a mediocre familiar theme rather than a new mediocre theme. Thats all im saying.

i wish Powell actually put the TAS theme in X3 (of course with a choral, orchestra and all that jazz). It would give me goosebumps to see the original theme there...

I liked the Pryde of the X-Men theme too... :p

Did anyone notice how close Kamen's theme was to the old NES X-Men game? :D

I still have that stupid noise on the website i have no score :(

I see the cartoon as a different 2d universe so I wouldnt be inclined to like this idea.

*sigh* i love the animated series. that was the highlight of my friday afternoons growing up. hee hee

i especially liked how they sometimes used "real fire" instead of "cartoon fire" in the phoenix saga :)

If the music from Tv spot 10 is in the film then this film will truly be epic

nope. believe it or not its from Tomb Raider:Legend.

yes the new video game! :O

I doubt any tv spot will have music in it that's also in the film itself...At least, not for this film.
