Infinity War A Tony and Pepper Wedding?

I'd rather see Pepper become a casualty from Thanos' attack.

Why? It be wasting a female character, also the love interest dying to bring man-pain to the hero, it has been done to death so many times already. If they do get married, I wonder if Tony will pass the torch on to Peter Parker.

Pepper LMD.

She never recovered from Extremis.

Oh Daaaamn! That would be a HUGE Conspiracy Theory to the conspiracy people in the Marvel Universe.
I want a one-shot of a normal everyday person going about their day living in a Super Powered people world.

I think that makes the most sense. While Sony's obsession with spin-offs is a bit concerning, I don't really see Tom Holland's Spidey leaving the MCU any time soon.

Yep. In a way Peter is like the MCU version of Simba. So Tony would be Mufasa, and Happy Hogan would be Zazu. :funny:

It depends. Didn't Paltrow say she didn't want to do anymore Marvel movies?

Oh did she? :csad:

Cameos would have been enough.

I guess we'll see. the engagement was a surprise. They resolved that from Civil War awfully quickly.

I would normally agree with everything you said here 100% but said female character is played by Gwyneth Paltrow and she makes me cringe.

Plus, Tony was more interesting in Civil War when he was sad about their break up than he was in Iron Man 3.

The ridiculous train wreck of iron man 3 making Lava Girl out of pepper kind of shows these movies aren't up to task to do that

Lolol.

That was ridiculous.

It really was the worst movie. Ignoring the reviews, The 7 people I saw the movie with HATED it. I asked a few randoms there too, they hated it.

Walking out of the theater I heard "I want my money back"

"Did Marvel make this movie?" "That was stupid".

Among others, also, I saw 15 other people I grew up with comment on facebook about it, and they all didn't like it either.

So many people defend and like everything marvel does, but I am pretty sure if you were to sample people, most would pick IM3 as the worst movie. I only saw it twice. The theme of it was good, but it was just ruined by such a weird tone.

Yeah, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 are definitely the worst. Watchable, but bad.

I love Iron Man 3, but that's mostly because I've never given a crap about the Mandarin as a villain.

Plus She's a very expensive actress, so making a cameo would cost Marvel a lot of $$$.

I said this before she returned for the cameo. That they were able to get her for that makes it much more likely she'll show up in Infinity War.

It really was the worst movie.

Fox's Fail Four says hello. :oldrazz: I got to hand it to Fox first they made X3, and at the time it looked like another movie couldn't top it as worst movie. But than came Origins which took the title from X3, and when it look like Origins would remain with the title Fox went all out and made their Fail Four movie. :funny:

I'm not sure if she is that sought after anymore. She's in the press more for the stupid things she posts on Goop then she is for her roles. Aside from her involvement with Marvel she hasn't had a high profile movie in years. I'm sure she'd still try to demand a lot of money but who knows if they'd give it to her.

I can't figure out what's happening with Gwenyth at all. She doesn't seem to have any intention of coming back...so they sorta wrote her out...then they brought her back for a cameo? Why?

It's not like Tony and Pepper falling out needs to happen onscreen. I actually thought the way they handled it in Civil War was alright (especially compared to the awful dialogue about Jane and Pepper in Age of Ultron) and that we just wouldn't see her again. Then again, when Iron Man 3 came out like a huge turd it seemed like Favreau and Paltrow had both had enough. Maybe they both feel better about it now.

She still commands a very hefty pay rate, especially if it's just for a cameo. In fact, there was tension between Marvel and Sony over her cameo in Homecoming because Sony really didn't like having to shell out a bunch of money for like, 50 seconds of screentime.

Speaking of spending, remember last year, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s will-she-or-won’t-she role in Captain America: Civil War? At the time, I was the one who said she wasn’t in it, which was undoubtedly for reasons due to story bloat, but also at least in part because her Marvel contract is up and they’d have to pay through the nose to get her back, even for a cameo. Well, Marvel isn’t the footing the bill for Homecoming, so guess who’s back? That’s right, Pepperony lives as Pepper Potts returns to the MCU, and don’t think Sony hasn’t noticed they’re the ones on the hook for Goop’s day rate.

And that has been a problem for Sony, who has been a bit snippy about the cash flow on Homecoming.

Yeah, that had nothing to do with it whatsoever. Her contract was up, which meant Marvel would have to pay a lot more to bring her back. And since there have not been any solo Iron Man movies since then, there was nothing to really justify spending a bunch of money to get her to appear. The party scene in Age of Ultron was very obviously gonna have cameos from Jane and Pepper (hence the awkward explanations for them not being there), but ya know, money.

Happy had even less reason to appear again since he's not even as important to the series as Pepper was. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole reason they brought him back for Homecoming is because they needed a middleman between Stark and Peter since they didn't want Stark to have too much screentime.

And then Norman Osborn appears in Peter's life, post-IW and post-Tony as the MCU Scar... :sly:

But in all seriousness, that comparison does make a lot of sense and I could definitely see Tony sacrificing himself to save Peter in either Infinity War or Avengers 4.

As for Tony and Pepper getting married, I feel like that will either happen at the start of IW or at the end of Avengers 4. It all depends on whether or not Marvel wants to kill Tony off- if they do, then have the wedding early on so that it's all downhill from there for Tony. If they want him to live, then save the wedding for the end of A4 to act as Tony's "riding off into the sunset" moment in the MCU.

If Norman is Scar who's the laughing hyenas? :funny: I think it may be at the end, and if it is I think a certain Michelle might catch the bouquet. And after she catches it she says to Peter, face it tiger you just hit the jackpot. :sly:
