ABC's "No Ordinary Family"

And the government knowing they are not an ordinary family out of the blue was way out of left field.

Actually I thought it made a lot of sense, the family wasn't didn't really do a good job when it came to keeping their powers a secret. Everyone close to them knew pretty much immediately. Jim barely concealed his identity while "patrolling"

They didn't even try to disable the security cameras.

I agree when too many weird things happen in one place it tends to catch the attention of the government especially when the agency in question is the NSA, or CIA. In this new America where if you blink wrong it may put you under investigation.

so does anyone know if its getting a new season or not? I thought towards the end...it was pretty entertaining. Just as good as Smallville in terms of quality.

If this was the episode before the mid season break then guarantee more people would have gotten interested hearing the next plot. They waited to long to do something good

this is what i'm guessing....they cant end this show

It wouldn't surprise me if it does get cancelled for Syfy to pick it up and carry it on for a few more seasons. They've done it with other series before.

It would be hard to continue the show with the parents

If the show is picked up, the parents will be back. I think their pilots are second option.

It'll be hard to do this show without the Dad, and last I heard, he's signed on to do a show with Conan that's basically him turning into a superhero. Right?

What?!?!?! I'm so lost haven't watched since the bad guy took away the daughters memory and I started missing it.

I'm not surprised at all. I found the majority of the characters unlikable. In fact, just about the only ones I did care anything for were the two sidekicks. That's not a good omen for any show.

Well, it's still a decent ending, ambiguous it may be for George. They end up becoming agents of the government using their powers to stop new supervillains.

I hope Julie Benz goes back to shows on premium channels. None of this network crap.

They took too long to get the heroes doing anything heroic, especially as a team. Julie Benz used her powers in private but was mostly against being a hero, and the kids just used it for their own private lives. Only Jim was the sole crimefighter. What's the point of having a family of superheroes who never team up? It's like having Fantastic Four about a family who go about their own business leading separate lives, and only meeting at meal times. Imagine if the Avengers movie brings all these superheroes together in one movie, and they all have separate storylines like in Heroes?

Audiences are expecting at least some kind of team up if you're going to have several heroes in one story. They can't expect to just develop their characters over a long period and only start teaming them up at the end of the season or the 2nd season, because that's too late and jumping the gun, since there may not even be a 2nd season (which there isn't).

I agree Night Raven. People go to superpowered movies/shows to watch people be heroes or villains. The show just didnt do that. Honestly, I wouldve stopped watching the show a while before the finale if it wasnt for the fact that I liked so many actors/actresses on the show

I decided to get caught up on the 6 or episodes I skipped over since February; not much had changed on the show. You get some fan service with the guest stars and powers displayed, but putting too much thought into the ongoings will make you cranky. However, I did get enjoy Non-Poison Ivy, WouldBe Wolverine, Low Voltage Electro and Lucy Lawless (:hrt:).

While the cancellation isn't surprising, I'm thinking if a lot of the empty stuff had been cut and the season finale was actually what the hiatus break was, there would have been another season. That arc looked promising.

Even worse is that Autumn Reeser was on the show too. What are the odds of she and Benz ever being on the same thing again? :csad:
