Steven Spielberg's ''Terra Nova''

damn, that Lucas is a real creep, I hope a dino eats him

Death to Lucas! A long slow agonizingly painful death to Lucas!

Pretty great finale, I think. I hope it gets a season two.

That was a pretty good finale. I hope it gets a 2nd season.

Anyone else thinking ...

[BLACKOUT]Bermuda Triangle[/BLACKOUT]?

HA! Yeah that was my first thought. It seems to be too obvious so it is probably the case.

I guess Mira is going to hate Taylor now & continue her campaign against him

Really enjoyed the finale, especially Taylor giving Lucas the whooping he richly deserved, I was sad to see Wash bite the dust though. :( The combination of the key characters working together was great and it was nice to see Skye turn the tables on creepo Lucas. The little scene with Taylor and Zoe was cute. :D

One thing that surprised me was I didn't think you could just jump through the portal and reach the other side without an exit portal, I half expected Jim to end up somewhere else but I'm glad he didn't as the stage is nicely set for Terra Nova vs Lucas, Mirra and The Phoenix group mercs in season 2, with the mysterious ship to add some intrigue.

Wow, what a great finale!

My DVR cut the last couple of minutes off so I missed a few things from what you guys are mentioning.

I can't wait for season 2. The stage is finally set for life on Terra Nova and hopefully without as much future technology. It always bugged me how good they had it with all the technology to make life easy and normal. Now I want to see them struggle and use their human ingenuity and survive in that world.

Fox knew what they were getting into when they moved Fringe to friday. Any show's ratings would dip on ****ing friday. If they **** over Fringe, I will rage.

Well as they mentioned a bunch of times, the Device on their end (cant remember its name right now), just anchors the portal to that spot. The portal itself goes to that time but the spot is random without that device to hold it in place.

I enjoyed the finale... my critique is really one that encompasses the whole series, and that is the idiotic focus on the family, it takes away from the rest of the show in a large way. Really, it's the two older siblings, either they can't act, or the direction is wasting them.

If the focus of the show shifted away from them, to other more interesting characters, this show could go a long way.

I'm glad wash is gone, not so much her portrayal, as much as the token supermodelesque woman as a bad ass military commando was getting on my nerves. I much prefer the newer african american girl who played with the bomb.

so obviously there's another naturally occuring time rift in the badlands, they couldn't make it any more clear... and I'll be really annoyed if it's the bermuda triangle.

I've enjoyed this show, more than hated it, I think... or it might just be the lack of other sci fi out there for me at the moment. But I wouldn't mind if this show went on for another season, with some serious adjustments to the approach taken to delivery.

Is Taylors right hand woman dead or still captured? I saw her get captured (which was a bit wtf? she should be able to fend them off just as well as whats his name did in the "bar") but nothing after that

Well Lucas put a bullet (or what ever they use) into her head, that would indicate she is dead ;)

Agree they need to upgrade the writing and shift focus away from the boring family. Don't care about baby Dinos, school plays, or your broken future-iPad.

Just had the oportunity to watch the first episode, i saw some early coments and i don't think anybody else already mentioned the fact that the annoying kid seems to be taken directly from V, very similar to the war of the worlds one too.

The male teen in Terra Nova EVEN in the first 3 episodes was less annoying than the one in V. In Terra Nova the kid's issues were fixed pretty quickly and he wasn't as whinny and dumb as the V's.
IMO.

Anyway, Lucas is a tought moffo, 3 bullets in the chest and he still can walk away !

****ing agreed! I don't think I've ever been happier to see a non-bad-guy-main-character ever eaten alive.

Well, look where he got his genes from. :cwink:

And yet Lucas needs help beating up Josh...:hehe:

I gave this show a shot and it just didn't work for me. I watched about 5-6 episodes. I might try again in the future if I'm bored and there's nothing else to watch.

It's slowly but steadily been growing on me. Once Josh's raging angst got toned down, I started to enjoy the family dynamic quite a lot. I also like the conflict between Taylor's idealism and everyone's tacit knowledge that he is essentially a "my way or the highway" dictator. Right now, the only things I dislike are the Sixers' motivation and Lucas. Like, everything about Lucas. He's not so much a human character as he is a mass of clichés condensed down into human form.

Also, the girl who plays Zoe is possibly the cutest child on the planet.

Nothing has been confirmed either way.
