ABC's "No Ordinary Family"

 Why couldn't ABC get Lynda Carter and Adam West be Stephanie's parents? I was expecting someone like that.

This week's episode was good, but too many questions:
-The lipgloss affects Jim's strength, but not Stephanie's speed. It affected the plant though.
- When Stephanie ran to the hospital to stop her son from helping his teacher they had a small talk. Okay, how did Jim get there so fast? Did she carry him and drop him off at the door? How did Stephanie and her son get out of the room (maybe the room had a back door). BTW, didn't the security guard say that those operating rooms were not operational, yet a doctor had surgery scheduled the next morning? Too many plotholes :cmad:

Q:-The lipgloss affects Jim's strength, but not Stephanie's speed. It affected the plant though.
A: How about its an allergic reaction and most people don't react allergies the same. Even if two people have the same allergy one could be mild the other severe

Q:- When Stephanie ran to the hospital to stop her son from helping his teacher they had a small talk. Okay, how did Jim get there so fast? Did she carry him and drop him off at the door?

A: How about they both drove to the hospital in the same care and Stephanie ran up to stop him as soon the car parked.

So now we got a Pyro/Human Torch on our hands.

I was looking for a little more fight there, but what we got wasn't bad for a brief taste. I'm thinking/hoping the pyrokinetic brings it later. He doesn't seem to be the most stable of individuals.

I think I just figured out "Will's" game:

He's trying to figure out how the Powell's are able to sustain powers without Dr. King's injection. This is why he's hiding it from Dr. King--he's trying to figure out a way to "circumvent" the evil doctor.
Now, whether he's good or bad, that's still up in the air.

Did he always have telepathy or did I just miss it earlier?

Anyway, liked Fireboy's fight with Steph. I wasn't expecting him to actually become the flame.

No. "Will" has never demonstrated that power before. Although, it explains how he managed to follow Jim in that one episode. Now whether this is a new ingredient in Dr. King's "power cocktail," or he's always had it, we don't know.

Makes sense with the ending and all.

Maybe he's always had it but just hasn't shown it off til now. So I guess the dead female cop did a good job in covering for Jim when "Will" questioned her.

Yeah I liked the fight. Was a bit surprised fireboy was nearly matching her speed step for step. Thought we'd see her run circles on the dude. Forget where I saw it but some fire dude villain got taken out like that by some super speed dude. It's probably from JLU.

I think he just learned to use his telekinesis in a more creative way. He can move things with his mind so he moved his thoughts into the kids mind.

Ugh, that's verging on Heroes BS.

So how were the ratings with the new time slot ?

Granted, it's a fictional ability, but I don't think I've ever seen telekinesis utilized like that. :funny:

I'm just going to go with that they were holding out on us with his powers or it's a result of a modified cocktail from King. The 'wave on' with the lamp seemed like another tweak too. Didn't come off like it was the teke, but some other manifestation. I hope they don't end up Sylar-ing him.

Any hopes of Will being a good guy went out the window when he shot that cop.

The fight and the effects were pretty awesome. I liked the wide shots where they showed the living flame chasing after Stephanie.

Stephanie's top speed is probably somewhere around 9000 mph or faster.

It's possible her powers grow to that point, I mean she already runs at 7,200mph.

why they move it to 9 pm? Eureka back on that time and I'm not missing seeing that

They moved it mostly to show holiday shows in the earlier time slot but it will probably go back to normal after the holidays.

Yeah, he knows about Daphne's mind reading.

He did not think that confrontation through there

Well, wiping her memory made sense. This dude is becoming the Sylar of the show though, with random ass powers popping up as the plot requires.

So, Not Sylar just went Zatanna on Daphne. I'm looking for a stronger hook to feed the remainder of the season.

it might be onhaiatus for the holidays o to catch up on production

I'm thinking so (about a possible hiatus). That's why I was hoping for something a bit more grabbing to close out last night's ep.

i laughed when you hear Jim's GPS voice on his phone say "you have reached your destination" followed immediately of him landing in the pool :hehe:.

There really boosting Jim's strength factor, first earlier in the season he had trouble stopping a car & now he is stopping trains ala Spider-Man 2 although Jim doesn't have webs to help him like Spider-Man did & the train last night wasn't going full speed but it should have derailed from just the impact of Jim trying to suddenly slow it down.
