Achievements: Do you care?

I'm interested in knowing who actually loves/hates these things. I honestly think it adds a ton of replay value to games.

Granted, I'm not the kind of achievement ****e that'll play the Avatar game, but I love seeing that 1000/1000.

I think we can all agree that the achievement noise that pops up is super sexy. Right? No?

Thoughts?

I'm currently working on that too. The singer player ones seem easy enough, but the multi player ones....eh.

I just think it's hilarious how much achievements have affected gaming. Especially considering in the end, they are worthless. You have to love it.

I love getting achievements...it gives a whole new meaning to gaming, as it rewards you for the things you do.

I don't go crazy on seeking out achievements...but when I hear that sexy sound and get more points...I cream myself.

I've only got like 500. I still need to complete Portal though,

Orange Box is the best 360 game...and game package.

But yeah, I'm an achievement ****e. I love them.

I've currently got around 15,000, and I'd guess I average 500 Gamer Points per game.

I don't care for them, mostly because I use cheats in many games like GTA and such, plus they're pretty much useless.

I dont really care about them. There are a few games, like Halo, that I'll go out of my way to get them, but other than that, meh.

I don't dislike them I'm just not that bothered, maybe if they unlocked stuff, and were for fun stuff too....there were a few good ones in crackdown I think (basejumper anyone?)

I used to be into it, but then I realized I don't get anything for having a high gamer score.

rewards for high gamerscores would be a good idea....ms points maybe....or stuff you can dload for having a certain amount of points...picture packs etc..

Crackdown did have some pretty fun achievements. The hardest one I've come across is "Mile High Club" in COD4. Furious levels of hardcore difficulty that was. I cried, oh yes I cried.

I enjoy them and it does give you something extra to do. But I'm not obsessed with getting them all, I don't think I have a 1000/1000 yet.

Achievements have only served to remind me that after all these years Im not as good at games as I thought I was.

I like getting them, but it sucks I can only get half since I don't have xbox live.
