Actors that are always great no matter how crappy the movie

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Chow Yun Fat

Will Farrell ( just kidding :oldrazz:)

Amazing choices, especially Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.

can't believe i forgot Jean Reno, he's one of the reasons i thought of this thread, and yah i don't have any actresses on my list, cuz for some reason they rarely impress me, and the ones that usually do i've only seen in one movie. all the big names don't impress, i think nicole kidman is awful, meryl streep bugs me, judie dench i just find hard to look at

Jean Reno = terribly underrated to the American audience. He is a high quality actor. He was even great in Godzilla.

Clark Gable
Bette Davis
William Holden
Frank Sinatra

Ah, I'd forgotten about Claude Rains. He was a great character actor. I notice that a lot of guys I think of appear in horror movies, like Claude Rains, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price. These guys can take really absurd dialogue and make you believe what they are talking about is completely serious. Theres a couple movies with Cushing where he's talking about vampires and its completely ludicrous, but he really sells it.

Oh, Sir Alec Guinness is great too.

The kings of ''taming crap'' are Christopher Walken and Michael Caine.

I would have said Ben Kingsley but after seeing him in Bloodrayne, i have to change my opinion on that. He looked like a complete fool. I really think the only reason he took that role was because he was hoping to get into Loken's pants, really.

I'd have to second Will Smith as well. I know some aren't particularly fans of his, but the man gives his all in every role he's gotten, even in the films that were godawful.

David Paymer.

No matter what he pops up in, I always tend to enjoy his performance. He was one of my favorite parts of Ocean's 13, probably because I had no idea he was in it until he showed up. Whether he shows up in some big budget studio crapfest or some tiny little known film, he always manages to entertain and make the movie better simply because of his presence.

Sigourney Weaver (Alien Resurrection was HORRIBLE, but she was awesome).

Eva Green
Jeremy Irons
Geoffrey Rush
William H. Macey

Bill Murray. I almost sat through Garfield just because it was him, but ultimately decided against it. I still bet he's great though.

Morgan Freeman
John Cusack
Christopher Walken
Tim Robbins
Jeff Bridges
Denzel Washington
Michael Caine
Johnny Depp
Keanu Reeves
Robin Williams
Bill Murray
Jean Reno
William H. Macy
Willem Dafoe

Liam Neeson
Stellen Skaarsgard(spl?)
Keira Knightley(im probably alone on this one)
Rufus Sewell
Edward Norton
Joaquin Phoenix(him and Norton are probably the best young actors now)
Ciaran Hinds(he was incredible as Julius Caesar)
Robert Downey Jr.
Naomi Watts? (havent seen much of her movies, but she was amazing in Kong)
-Steve Buscemi
-Mel Gibson
-Owen Wilson(i love everything he does)
-Seth Rogen(so far hes been awesome in everything)
-Fred Willard
-Brenden Gleeson
-Brian Cox
