I think it's very nicely done. Aside from the color and the face this design could be somekinda cool armor for a sci-fi game etc. It's a completely different direction from what we are doing though. Our armor for the movie is 100% Iron Man. Even if it was painted neon green you would still recognize it as Iron Man.

Its not much but its better then nothing at all.

Ugh. Its so power rangersy. How is Robert Downey Jnr supposed to be taken seriously in a suit like that

That design looks similar to his current suit.

i'm not too thrilled with that design, the one a poster displayed looks better than that one.
Although its probably unrefined and it could be worse.

Can you people read? Granov clearly said that is not the design they are using.

No. We cannot read. We naviagted our way here by looking at the pictures

 it's not even a Granov design, it's a fan made suit.

yes i can read, i just skimmed through this topic as i was in a rush.

Is that ok with you sir?

Jasomius... can you read? Cuz certainly most of the people on here can and they're talking about the rejected armor specifically when they're knocking it... you just merrily and stupidly jumped to the conclusion that other hypers thought Granov might use or consider the armor in the film. Looks like you're the one who needs some serious reading comprehension bub.

While that isn't an official design. It's understandable to see something that deviates from the comics slightly. Yes you want to be as faithful as possible, it's still going to be a matter of practicality. Not in a real world sense but pertaining to something that will be able to be filmed. That being said, I would like to see something as faithful as possible. But in the end I understand what can and can't be done on even a major budget. Let's hope the designs are quality.

I would be content with a design similar to the new cartoon that is coming out in January. THAT looked like Iron Man...but, it's Hollywood so they'll "F" it up and he'll like Shaq's Steel outfit.

God was that terrible.

I rather like this one. It's pretty accurate to the present look.
However, I'd rather have an updated tin suit than the newer look.
At least use the tin suit for the beginning, and once Stark gets home, he improves it.

It was a rejected design. He wont look, as you say, "power rangersy". Remeber, Favreau said that he is going for a more Robocop, heavy metal style and NOT a Power Ranger look.

Speaking of the suit, it dosen't seem likely that the armour will resemble the comic books all that much. Hardly any of the armours Stark uses in the books really fit in with the "heavy metal" philosophy except perhaps the Ultimate Iron Man suit, the War Machine suit and the Hulk Buster suits. He also said that their would be heaps of guns on the suit which is fairly different from the books were Iron Man really only uses his repulsors most of the time. But the direction he is going in sounds fantastic and I can't wait to see it!!

This should be the armor he haves be the end of the film. This is by far the best armor for Iron Man.
