I couldn't see Cera doing this one as well as Jesse.

I think Michael Cera would have turned James into a charatuer..not that I don't love Michael Cera, but I just don't think his shtick would have worked for this movie. Jesse Eisenberg just has a more real quality. The James character was really more of a pretentious book worm than a total Weird Science style loser, which is what Michael Cera probably would have tried to turn him into

Something to keep in mind...this film was shot the fall of 2007 and was written well before. Jesse Eisenberg was cast in this role before Superbad even came out...so it's not like he saw that film was thought "hey, I could do that...I better sign up for this"

Well, it wasn't in theaters long that much, talk won't resume until the dvd comes out.

I thought it was a decent film. bill hader was great as was the guy that used to play halverchuck on freaks and geeks, that guy should seriously get more roles.
