i don't know why you'd say we're not retail, my store alone averages between 4&5 million per month...

as for PX aka NEX, I don't know if they're DOD or not. they charge tax, set their prices etc. we sell at cost

I've only just stopped shaking with joy at the JJ cast. My only grips are the lack of Wedge and Lando, and the fact that Serkis is there.

Why does Serkis bother you? The man is the best mo cap actor in the business. If JJ is going to have an entirely cgi character then Serkis was the best choice for the role.

You can put that fear to rest. Luacas isnt running this show, and JJ isnt going to give us a Jar Jar. Serkis isnt a fool nor a bad actor either. He wouldnt have signed up for some junk like that. Whatever the cgi character is it will be nuanced and well designed and acted. You can almost bet on that now that we know Serkis is involved.

Some examples of great entirely cgi characters: Gollum, Caesar, Kong, Pandorians etc. Three of those were mo capped by Serkis. We are in good hands and this really shouldnt be worrying you.

I start Thursday. Training class tomorrow, store training Thurs. at 7am can't wait till I start working nights though. I'm a night owl (REIGNING, DEFENDING KRONUM LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!) anyway, so I'm cool with it for now. And apparently I'll be full time, so starting in June I'll start getting insurance benefits, which is nice. I just hope eventually my schedule works out to where I can work full time and still do my podcasts and write my articles and stuff.

The CGI in Apes was amazing. I'm not doubting that. But my issue is more that CGI will ALWAYS look like CGI. And honestly even the best stuff can look awful. I've heard people praise the CGI in Man of Steel, but I thought it looked stupid and cartoony. It's all opinon.

CGI, for me, usually works better doing backgrounds or enhancing a practical effect.

If WB/DC reboots Green Lantern post-JL, I'm hoping they see sense and cast Jensen Ackles as Hal Jordan. On a tangent of that topic, WB/DC can easily avoid "origin story-itis" by pulling a TIH and recapping each hero's origin in the opening credits of their first solo films.
