The Oscars of the video game industry took place last night at this years D.I.C.E summit. For those who are interested, here is a re-broadcast of that award show, hosted by Jay Mohr:

Family Game of the Year: Little Big Planet

Strategy Game of the Year: Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3.

RPG of the Year: Fallout 3.

Adventure Game of the Year: Mirrors Edge

Fighting Game of the Year: Super Smash Bros.

Action Game of the Year: Dead Space.

Outstanding Innovation in Gaming: Little Big Planet

Outstanding Achievement in Original Story: Fallout 3

Outstanding Achievement in Adapted Story: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Overall Game of the Year: Little Big Planet.

Glad that GTAIV didn't win. Great game and all but definetely not worthy of GOTY awards.

Yea i agree.

LBP was just so damn unique. I mean i still felt MGS4 should have won, but i can recognize what LBP did.
