Aw Pandamar, you s.o.b, you stole my thread, haha.

Good to know im not the only one who pays attention to this. The AIAS Interactive Achievement awards are the closest thing to the golden globes/oscars that the game industry has. If you have to pay attention to game awards, this is the one.

On a side note, did you watch the show from last year? It was pretty good, Jay Mohr hosted and was pretty funny. He's going to host again this year. The show is Feb 18th.

Haha, sorry about that. You can post the results if you want. :D

No, I didn't watch it last year. I'm a little curious why Jay Mohr is always hosting video game functions. He hosted BlizzCon three or four times and I think he's done some stuff at E3 as well.

Guess he likes the industry and they like him, hah. This is his 5th year hosting the Interactive Achievement Awards.

Yea, the awards are decided on by industry professionals, ie other developers. They are trying to get the award show to have a bigger draw. They just recently started airing the show on the internet and i think this year the show will be telecast live on the internet.

So happy for Uncharted 2 and Flower, both incredible games.

Just rounding up my 10th playthrough of U2... gotta stop it sometimes. :(

Haha no you dont. I still play through Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. The Uncharted series is just absolutely fantastic.

Yeah well I just finished my 12th play of that. Why play any other game? It's not gonna be as good as Drake...

Uncharted got nominated as an adventure game? Its more of an action title. They need a shooter category next year bc thats where CoD should have gone. Still overall its good UC2 got recognized

I dont know, i guess id consider it an action/adventure. I think the title is pretty adventurous.

Adventure is more exploration. UC2 is pretty heavy on the shooting and action. It is classified as an action/adventure but it leans alot more towards the action side and thats where it would probably have best been placed. No big deal though

Yea, i still think its rightfully placed in the adventure side. Maybe it shouldnt have won for that category but it deff needs to be nominated for it. Its not straight up action like a Gears of War.

Congrats to Naughty Dog. Getting the respect from thier peers for what they were able to create, has to be very satisfying. They deserve it.

Also glad to see Mark Hamill win as well.

Deff. This is the most prestigious awards show in the industry and no one deserves it more than Naughty Dog. I really wish the industry would try and advertise this awards show more. I mean right now the avg gamer thinks Spike game Awards is THE awards show, its not, this is.

The last few shows have been broadcast online, hopefully theyll put this yrs up as well, Jay Mohr was pretty good as a host last yr and he's hosting again this yr.

Very nice. It's great to so see so many deserving winners on that list.

I agree with Havok regarding Uncharted being nominated as an adventure game. I think with the resurgence of the true adventure game genre they really need to have a seperate category for adventure games and action/adventure games like Uncharted. They do also need to have a shooter category as well.

Glad to see Dragon Age won as it so rightfully deserved.
