Air France flight with 228 on board has gone missing mid-flight

No, but coming in here just to say that you don't care about the story kinda makes you a bad person

The words of a wise man.

I am interested into why others care. I am interested why the a plane crash is a bigger tragedy than a car crash. A plane crash is terrible for the families involved, but no more so than any other accident.

With all the technological advances made, how exactly can you lose a plane? Although now that I think about it, radio can go out etc etc...still that just sounds odd when you put it like that.

Even so, I hope the passengers and crew come out of this situation safe and sound.

A little behind on the news?

Anytime a large group of people die all at once it's considered tragic. Is it sad when someone dies in a car accident? Yes. But that one persons death affects maybe a hundred peoples lives at the most, his family, close friends, job. When 300 people die all at once it affects thousands of lives. That's what makes it tragic, the repercussions that are felt for years after and all the lives that are altered, and possible ripple effects that can occur from such an event. You don't have to personally care about the event anymore so then you would when any other stranger dies, I don't think most people do, but you can still have sympathy for the lives lost and the ones left grieving in the aftermath.

I posted without knowing the story had concluded...sue me.

Prayers for the families of the victims.

Does it make me a bad person if I really don't give a damn about this story?

LOL I love it when I meet elitist dips**ts like you in real life. I just sit back and smile as they talk complete garbage, it's like their ignorance gets me high. Sadly this is the internet and I am high so I am going to type what I would like to say in a well organized response, going completely off of how I interpreted your posts. :o

People died.

You couldn't care less? Good for you, you cliche modern day anti-establishment sociopath!

You came in here asking a jackass rhetorical question regarding what kind of person you are if you don't care about this story. Then you went on to say that a car accident is just as tragic as a plane crash which has nothing to do with anything. However, now I can infer that you don't give a f**k about car crashes either. LOL.

Dude the media is a machine. Yea, who wants to start their day with the news that a couple hundred died in the middle of the ocean after their plane crashed? Nobody. But how often does it happen? That's why they're such hot topics. Not only that, but think about the people who knew somebody on board that plane. The coverage allows them immediate updates, no matter how grisly they may be.

But to say you don't care. Dude. The death of just one creates enough loss to spread around a mob of people with lots to share, and you feel the need to ask what kind of person you are if you don't care?

LOL.

I don't reply to these threads usually, I just read them, but damn yo this was just too much to let go, LOL, get your head straight kid. I am "interested", LOL, Mr. Intellectual in the house, think you'd be smart enough to respect human life.

For such a serious post your sure did laugh a lot.

:hoboj:

I can't take people seriously when they're being laughably obnoxiously stupid, and I have to show them that.

Even if it's just the internet. :o

I used a Thesaurus for this post.

LOL imagine what a pain in the ass that would be.

People died.

That was the only part of your post that wasn't insulting. You laughed at him for his posts and then went out of your way to be as smug as you could to him while also calling him an elitist.

The power of ganja. :bh:

I seperated it for that very reason.  The rest was venting.

I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't proudly embrace every trait myself. :o

Just gotta take it with a grain of salt. In every thread like this, there's a moron stating, "There are bigger matters than this at hand! Why don't we worry about Darfur instead of Virginia Tech?!"
