The greatest living comic-book writer got married yesterday in Northampton with his longtime collaborator, artist Melinda Gebbie. Guest at the wedding many comic-book artists and writers, friends of Moore, people like Neil Gaiman, Dave Gibbons, Kevin O' Neill, Todd Klein, Chris Staros, Amber and Leah Moore, Oscar Zarate, Jose Villarrubia...

For the honey-moon, they boarded an opium-addicted whale and traveled to Avalon, where they made love in a palm tree.

Wow, that is the snazziest outfit I have ever seen. Moore does it again.

What the hell are they wearing!

I mean, I never expected Alan Moore to do anything conventionally, but that suit is mind-blowing.

my god.I knew alan moore was out the beaten path of comic writers but i didnt tihnk hed take it this far, cant knock him though,i bet this helped him finish a chapter or to.

I enjoyed the ceremony greatly and it was nice to see Alan and Melinda again.

Since I knew you want this Whirly:

Oh wow, Whirly, were you at the wedding? :O Oh noes, however did you get in? What is your connection to the newlywed couple?

Phew.

I feel like a hooker.

I met Alan at a convention in the late 80's. I did not get in through him though, i got in through a friend of mine who is a single male and had a plus one. We went as two guys, Alan doesn't really know me and wouldn't recognise me.

:)

Well, for all the built up tension, that's a bit of an anti-climax.

I don't think Moore needs to TRY to be different at all. He simply IS, unlike those other trendy nonconformists, that's why he kicks so much ass. You think "Watchmen" could have come out of some average joe? Nope, it had to come out of the Serpent Advocate of Sequential Art.

Exactly, Alan is an English eccentric and always has been. He's different because, quite frankly, he is the greatest modern comic creator.

Nuff Said!
