Yes, Fede took the basic plot of Don't Breathe and made it into an Alien movie lol. I'm not exactly against that idea.

This continues to look phenomenal in every way. Just, wow! And yeah it does seem like plot of don't breathe, but considering that's one of my favorite horror films in recent years, I have zero complaints.

Fede Alvarez does small scale/contained horror very well, so I'm not surprised they are going in that direction with this franchise since that's pretty much Alien at its roots and yet this still feels different from the past films.

Whatever he's doing is definitely working for me so far though.

They showed way too much in that trailer but it's not going to stop me from seeing it. I can get behind the reason of how they get into that mess but I'm curious to see how it plays out in comparison to what we've seen before, and by that I'm mainly thinking of the original movie as well as Alien: Isolation.

I should have known because the trailers for Covenant were pretty spoileriffic too. Those Fox trailer editors just can't help themselves.

Any trailer that has "Final Trailer" on it should always be avoided if you don't wanna get spoiled on big scenes.

I usually don't watch them but I thought I'd watch it anyway.

I opened that trailer expecting to be spoiled to a degree. I doubt there will be any big twists in this movie, or lore changing events, I'm just hoping for a solid entry in the franchise.

I wish the trailers did more to misdirect us rather than spoil us. Without even having seen the movie we're going in knowing that Cailee Spaeny will be our new Ripley and we've already seen a few of the characters that will get an early death. It would be fun with one of these movies if they misdirected us as to who the lead would be, only for that person to be the first one to go.

Yeah I didn't count Walter as breaking tradition either since David was still very much a part of Covenant but I wish they had gone with something like Eric or Edward.

Saw the trailer again last night before Deadpool and Wolverine - seeing it on the big screen really makes it pop more. I really hope this is as good as we want it to be.
