1) Real old pet peeve of mine starting when I read that comic when it hit the stores. David Micheline got the words for the panel sooooooooooo wrong. He needed a 60s pop hit for it, and while there were lots of them, Mrs. Brown was not it.

Marvel gets a quick shot off on their "Distinguished Competition" in the process of having two fairly pickled Avengers singing on the sidewalk.

2) Wrong member of Grodd's family. His Grandson Sam Simeon of 'Angel and the Ape' fame is an ape who uses his Mind force powers to make people see him as human. He draws comics! He works with a supermodel private detective. Attends Cons. Okay so if he's out cold people see he's an ape... and when grampa G ran a plot to catch the mysterious McGuffin generator 'The Green Glob'(Tales of the Unexpected feature issues " Grodd to drop whateverGreen Glob" (issues #85-103) Sam used his Mind force powers to program Grodd to drop whatever he was doing and go on a junk food eating binge whenever someone said the name of some junk food.

Sam Simeon, the true Ape Gawd of comics!

3)Have to vote Grodd partly because of the Sam ties but mostly Grodd's mental powers give him the edge on the mutant Dr. McCoy.
