So, anyone else pick this up? I've got to say that I only picked it up because of Omega Flight and ironically, it's had the exact opposite effect that it should have. Instead of making me excited for the New Team, it's reminded me how much I loved the original characters.

Snowbird, Aurora, Shaman, and Hudson were all cool before Volume 2# messed them up. Hell, there was a time when Northstar was a lovable jerk.

It's issues 1-8 of the first volume of Alpha Flight. Judd fights drug dealers, the origins of the characters, some crazy 40,000 year old caveman with supertechnology kidnaps their fish girl, Snowbird fights some elementals, and Hudson vacillates on everything.

It came out in order to boost Omega Flight sales.

Alpha Flight is one of those comics you can constantly get on ebay for extremely cheap prices. Plus, I always see it in various 25 cent bins. I couldn't imagine paying whatever high price Marvel is charging for this collection, when for the same price, you can probably get most of the entire collection on ebay.

In fact, I just looked. You can currently get the entire collection for $40.00, or issues 1-20 and annual 1&2 for 9.95, or you can get issues 1-83 plus both annuals for 19.99.

I nabbed it. But being Canadian I kinda felt Obligated.
