Pity that we had to go thru a very lame movie to see a 2 second ending.

They put the Deadpool ending on HOTEL FOR DOGS?!?!?!


I got to see the Deadpool ending at the end of the Wolverine movie....which was pretty cool by the way.t:

see, if anything, I wouldn't call the film 'bad' or 'terrible'...

I feel like the best adjective to describe it is simply 'incomplete.'

I got a huge impression that there was a s**tload of material that was either left out or written but never shot. It feels more empty than a "Wolverine" film should be...which is just absurdly ironic given that all three "X-Men" films practically had tunnel-vision set solely on Logan.

The one time where it's supposed to be about him and the story can't help but feel hollow...yet simultaneously packed to the brim...literally the brim...with untapped potential.

I mean you can see it under the surface just begging to be let out, but the film never lets it.

That's actually a pretty good way of putting it. I can hear where you're coming from. I haven't really read of anyone calling it "incomplete," but now that you mentioned it, I totally get your choice of word.

I'm not sure a Deadpool ending is really enough to make up for what they did to him. I mentioned this before, but it's pretty much the same as having Scott come back at the end of X3 saying he escaped from Sinister's and the guy that was here was a clone. It doesn't really change the fact that his character was mishandled. All it really says is that if you pay another $10 4 years from now you might get to see something that resembles a character you like going from action setpiece to action setpiece doing irrelevant things.

Sorry, I'm a bit jaded atm. Wolverine was mediocre and should have been cool. Having watched Hulk vs. Wolverine, Wolverine and the X-Men, and the Wolverine game all do it better is a bit maddening.

I cant believe Im saying this...but Hotel For Dogs is a better film.

It was a kids movie, for sure...but suffered from none of the massive issues with characterization, plot holes and just plain lack of common sense as this movie. For a kids movie, it was okay. Wolverine, for an adult action film, was Street Fighter bad.

In short...though neither are winning a Best Picture Oscar, if all other movies this year simply ceased to exist, Hotel For Dogs would win over Wolverine, no doubt in my mind.
