Gravitonne (Fred Dukes)
Fred is an American twenty something mutant with the ability to control gravity. The magnitude of his abilities is proportionate to his mass, meaning the greater his mass the greater his exertion and manipulation of gravity. He can use his abilities to mimic super strength. He ran away from home after the manifestation of his abilities but was briefly captured and experimented on by the X-Corps. X-Corps psychics implanted an eating disorder into Fred causing him to gave into obesity and increase his mass exponentially, in an attempt to increase and utilize his gifts. However, he escaped when his power became critical and destroyed half an X-Corp holding bay but the experimentation has left him endanger of inwardly collapsing due to the massive internal gravity he exerts. Self loathing and conscious of his grotesque obesity.
Pyrox (John Allerdyce)
An Australian teenage mutant with the ability to turn pain into fire he can manipulate, be it physical or emotional. His powers manifested at the funeral of his grandfather and caused many of the grieving family to spontaneously combust, their sorrow and lose transferred into a searing outburst of flame. Guilt ridden and alone, he fled to America and lived as a runaway for awhile, falling into self harming to fuel his abilities. He was adopted into the M.L.F after encountering them in a battle against X-Corps, who had been on his trail since his outburst in Australia. A self harmer with a dark sense of humour, but a keen and ferocious fighter. Immune to his own flame.
Dust (Sooraya Qadir)
An Afghan teenager with the ability to transform her body into a malleable sand like substance that can be hardened, shaped and dispersed by her will. She can also manipulate outside sources of small rock particles which made her a formidable opponent in her home country, filled with desert. She used her mutant powers to defend the women of her village from slave traders but when military insurgents gained knowledge of her abilities they trapped her in her sand form and sent her to America to be unleashed as a weapon of terror. However, her delivery was intercepted by the M.L.F who could hear her cries of psychic anguish and helped her escape her prison. She was a strict Sunni Muslim and wore an abaya with a niqab to mask her appearance from men but she feels that she must no longer hide from men and has adopted wearing a headdress. She still follows her beliefs, but now beliefs more violent way are acceptable if she is to survive.
Mystique
A German mutant of unknown age or true name. Mystique is an enigma both in her personal life and her powers. Her physiology is that of liquid flesh allowing her to morph into others but she also has manipulation of her own density allowing her to harden her skin to a bullet proof hide and become fully corporeal or flow as a liquid weapon. Her reasons for joining the M.L.F are unknown to the others but it is to destroy the X-corps database known as ‘The Omega Files’ which has catalogued her daughter, 16 year old Rogue, and son, 17 year old Nightcrawler, as mutants. She is fighting to ensure the safety her children who he she has hidden in the custody of Destiny and Wither. It is not known to her yet that her children have ran away to join another rebel faction known as the X-Men.
Weapon X (James ‘Logan’ Howlet)
A mutant in his early thirties with the ability to transform into a feral form. This form has increased strength and muscle mass, speed, stamina, durability, highly increased senses, bone claws and an accelerated healing factor. Once married to another mutant named Viper they’re happiness was destroyed when the Government killed Viper, a mutant with the gift of telepathy. James, now calling himself Logan, desires revenge at the loss of his wife and has given into to animalistic bloodlust.
Polaris (Lorna Lensherr)
Lorna, daughter of Erik Lensherr who was terminated by the Government in their phase of eradicating mutants, is a second generation mutant in her early twenties with the mutant ability to control all forms of magnetism. She inherited her abilities from her father who was murdered shortly after her birth. She along with her siblings Pietro and Wanda decided to spread across the country and form rebel factions against the X-Corps and Government to avenge the death of their father. She founded and lead the Mutant Liberation Force. Due to the constant use of her magnetic abilities her neurons are becoming increasingly damaged and Lorna is beginning to suffer from the effects of Multiple Sclerosis, which she is keeping a secret from the group. She is hoping to find and recruit the mysterious mutant known as Elixir to treat her illness.
Bishop (Lucas Bishop)
An African-American mutant in his late twenties with the ability to absorb, store and re-emit various forms of energy. Lucas worked as a normal police officer, keeping his mutant gifts a secret to allow him to investigate the X-Corps. As he rose through the ranks of the law he gained more and more insight into the workings of the X-Corps until he discovered the truth of their purpose and the extent of the government cover up. Fearing for his own safety and disgusted at the corrupt morality he joined the M.L.F as a true law enforcer.
Cerebra (Emma Frost)
Emma is an American mutant in her late teens with powerful telepathic abilities. She comes from a wealthy family and has two sisters, both psychic mutants. Her home was raided by the Government who were looking for mutant to join their Cuckoo Squads. Emma eluded captivity and joined the M.L.F in order to fight for her sister’s freedom. She uses her abilities to safeguard the group from psychic detection and to search for new members. She has minor clairvoyant abilities, as do all her sisters.
