you'll love the live action/ cgi one than when it comes out, i know i wanna see it, the chipmunks have always been one of my fave shows and movies.

they were always just a poor mans Rescue Rangers.

While Chip and Dale came out 10 years earlier than the Chipmunks, the Rescue Rangers came out in the late 80s while the new Chipmunk tv show came out in the early 80s.
