One week at a time.

How does a team that defeats the Jaguars go on to get crushed by the Giants? I don't know. But... one week at a time. One week at a time.

I like his Joker but it was very over the top and slap stick. The problem was "no one dare say anything bad about Jack" same way they do with Johnny Depp now. I think the Joker could be less bouncing off the walls and more sinister than Jack's. One good thing about Ledger is he is young and probably can still throw a punch. Maybe Joker and Batty will have an actual fight scene in this one instead of Joker sending his goons. The goons weren't bad but I like to see an old fashion showdown fight at the end. That goon named Bob was funny in Batman 1.

Remember this:
Joker: "Bob...gun." Bob gives Joker the gun and Joker shoots Bob. That was f***ing hilarious and still is.

He actually did kill in B89.
- Near the beginning, the thugs were talking about how their buddy was essentially thrown off a rooftop by bats.
- The batmobile had machine guns.
- The batmobile was driven into Joker's factory and dropped a bomb which would have killed the dozen or so thugs that were trying to shoot it.
- the batwing used chain guns and rockets.

so it wasn't just the one instance. it was happening through the whole movie.

Very good point. Batman ain't the average goody two shoes hero like Spidey or Sups.

But his point was that Batman shouldn't kill and that Burton doing that was out of character and wrong.

And Bob Kane did it too. Bob didn't get his own character. Damn you Kane, fans we don't like you.

And the original Superman didn't fly. Characters evolve and become much larger than their creaters, artest and writers.

Mr. Socko mentioned a scene from BR & it brought to mind a line from the same film where Danny Devito as The Penguin says that line after someone asks him, "not too many reflective surfaces in the sewer huh?"

That doesn't mean they don't get the character.

If a character has been around for 50+ years and has developed a history of "killing is wrong" (no matter what a few early stories tell), and then a writer took the character and turned the character into a killer, then YES they dont get the character.

Just how to make it better.

So Batman not killing makes him better?

Yes, it puts him on higher moral ground than say the Punisher. It makes him a more heroic figure.

I dunno.....I think in many aspects, Castle is a heroic figure.

Is it just this "comic book morals" that has us thinking Batman shouldn't kill?

Because, really....killing people CAN be justified. This country, the U.S., still has capital punishment, atleast in enough states.....so, there's got to be something to killing bad guys....

That is after Trial and Jury though. Killing people with out such trials is an unAmerican and, yes, unheroic.

I swear sir, I saw Explode kill a guy. I want him to get what he deserves.

^Yup exactly kill them all it may add to the BO numbers I mean who would have thought saw would get a trilogy.

...did someone call the Punisher anti-American?

I think I may have. The idea of executing punishment without a trial goes against everything in the constitution. To be truthful I know very little about the Punisher - if this is what he does without exception, then yes - his means are unAmerican.
