AMC's Halt & Catch Fire

Holy s***

I wrote this off. However, I was expecting for Netflix to pick it up for a final season.

Honestly I was more adamant for it coming back after season 1, but season 2 wasnt that good to me. It went too generic with it's storylines and it was spinning too many plates.

Happy for the show though and I will check out S3 to see it it improved

What's interesting is that the showrunner is turning over duties to the creators of the show. They may devote all of S3 like it could be it's definitive conclusion which it certainly might be.

It also says a lot about AMC's lineup and that they don't really have nothing new going outside of Preacher.

Well AMC can live off Walking Dead for a while.

So basically the show attracts a more upscale viewer, thereby allowing advertisers to hawk their wares.

returning 23 August

The season 3 premiere is on right now

This show has not missed a beat at all. Really solid and intriguing first 2 episodes that pick right up where Season 2 ended.

And damn....Joe is more calculating than ever. That guy is straight up a force to reckon with when he's on top of the world.

He's pretty much become the antagonist of the show, though the other three aren't exactly saints.

Another really good episode last night. Joe MacMillan is probably the most complex character I've ever seen on television.

Also loved Bos' negotiation tactics.

Zen master Joe MacMillan may be my favorite version of him.

Lee Pace is even sexier in white pants, glasses, and a disheveled beard.

god I am glad this show is back on as 80s kid I love all the 80s bits. and the cast is on fire, I love Cameron :hrt: she reminds me of a girl I knew (tall with the short blond hair).

This thread always falls off the grid. Shame because this season has been the best of the all 3 so far. Every episode has been outstanding, last night's being the best. Lee Pace is putting out an incredible performance. I really hope this show comes back for season 4. The switch in showrunners has boosted it creatively when it was already so strong in that area.

Yeah, it's not quite a Mr. Robot level fanboy thing yet. It's pretty niche.

The NES stuff was fun, its sad Joe will only give Gordon what Gordon wants because he screwed himself again...

But, that trip conversation with Cameron and the way the camera zoomed into Donna then zoomed out again was beautiful.

Cameron is a petulant woman child with poor social skills.

Ryan screwed up. I knew he would mess up Joe's plan somehow.

I think Mutiny will tank under Donna.

I was gonna suggest that as the move.
And, nowadays, that's a good run. Especially when you get to end things on your own terms rather than getting cancelled with no resolution.

I forgot this came back and binged all the episodes this past weekend. It's not as good as season 1, but it is a lot better than 2 and the show became great again.

Glad they're ending it hopefully the way they want to
