I rather liked it. The violence was pretty top notch and the set-up was pretty good. I loved the end speech as well.

I really wasn't into it for most of the episode. I actually thought it was borderline bad in spots, but it hooked me in the last ten minutes, and it hooked me hard.

Pilot vs Pilot than?

I'm trying to decide if its worth staying up later on a Sunday to watch or if it's meh, and not worth my time. (Walking Dead and Spartacus are both worth if they were on later.)

I was hoping someone else could help me make this decision haha.

If you love westerns, then I'd say it's worth it. It didn't completely capture me like the Walking Dead pilot, but I still really liked it.

Walking Dead pilot > Hell on Wheels pilot

But the Hell on Wheels pilot was better than the average Walking Dead episode in my opinion.
