AMC's Hell on Wheels

No wonder I didn't notice, they're practically identical.

I love the Swede, he's a great villain. I also really like Durant and Eva's friendship.

Even the guy who composes the show's music didn't realize they were different girls. :funny:

The Swede is so unpredictable and cunning, it'll be interesting to see where they go next with him. I was going to mention the Eva and Durant relationship as well, it's intriguing as Durant genuinely seems to have a soft spot for her with no benefit to himself.

Durant has Florence nightingale syndrome. Eva nursed him when he was at deaths doorstep

Didn't make it any less creepy. :p

You mean the Swede?? Not Durante/Eva correct

The Swede is just a bat**** crazy psychopath. As Jensen Ackles said Heyerdahl is an incredible actor.

Still think Ezra will be his downfall

No I meant Durant and Eva. Durant is such a sleaze. :( I wouldn't want his hands on me.

Whaaaat? Durant was being a total nice guy to Eva! He didn't even sneak a peek!

I hadn't thought of the time she spent nursing him, that's a very good point Mr. Mocomic.

Another thing that's really neat about their friendship is it adds a whole other layer of humanity to Durant. It would be so easy to just leave him as the money grubbing schemer, but he seems to genuinely care for Eva (in a platonic way!). And when he talks about his child, and even his ex-wife, it shows a whole other side the character.

The Swede on the other hand, is just bananas.

Good episode!

The business with The Swede is getting very interesting indeed.

I was definitely rooting for Mickey in the alleyway, even though he's a scumbag.

One thing, did anyone else find the opening scene kind of out of place? It felt more like something you'd see in Shanghai Knights than Hell on Wheels.

I like Mickey. Other than him talking mean to Eva, he hasn't done anything to make me hate him. :)

Yeah, I had to check and make sure I was watching Hell on Wheels. I liked that scene a lot tho, and thought it was a nice departure from the usual HOW style and tone.

This ep almost seemed like a stand alone with the Sid story and then the **** hit the fan and it looks like he might become a bigger issue fore Cullen. The guy playing Sid reminded me of a young Brad Pitt.

Mickey wont see out the season IMO, he's gone off the deep end, and will Durant live? That was a hell of a whooping he was taking at the end.

I wonder what that Mormon kingpin wants the Swede to do for him. :hmm

Yes! these were actually my exact thoughts, especially the part where Sid shot the guy in slow mo while swinging from his neck lol. Both shootouts in this ep looked like they were shot by John Woo.

That wasn't his brother? :(

Nope! It was heavily hinted at that Mickey was the actual killer from Boston. I don't think Shawn was particularly right in the head either, and may have even shared the serial-killing adventures with Mickey, but Mickey was/is almost certainly some sort of monstrous figure. That scene with Eva and the bathtub, talking about how "all women are ****es" except for his mother? Classic serial killer talk right there.

I gotcha. :) I musta missed some of that.

Looks like Elam returns next week.

Spoiler tag that.

It's not a secret. It was revealed in the preview for next week's episode. In fact it's the focus of the preview. Next week's episode focuses on where Elam's been since he encountered the bear.

Yeah. I don't remember the full details but I remember thinking it looked like Mickey killed Shawn to keep his mouth shut.

It must still run in the family. Shawn wasn't playing nice with the preacher lady all the same. :(

Great episode! Really liked the story, and you-know-who looks bad ass now. Can't wait to see what happens upon his return.

I was glad that calvalry guy made it out okay, he's terrible but he's entertaining.

[BLACKOUT]Jimmy noooooooooo![/BLACKOUT]

He needs to dump the army coat. Think we will look at a white eye or eyepatch rest of the way.

I'm glad Elam is back but I found the episode boring, cool that he has super beard growing powers now though. He also shares killing the wrong man guilt with Cullen now.

The Indian with the white face paint with 3 red lines on it that wanted to go after Elam for scalping that guy, he's the one Cullen and Naomi passed on the way into Cheyenne right?

I don't know if he was White Feather's buddy, but he was one of that tribe I would say. I kept expecting Elam to have broken that indian's arm and then him crossing paths with Cullen like that, but they never showed it, so who knows?
