America enters Nuclear War!

Why is Iraq worse with Saddam out of power. Why is the Afgahnistan worse with the Taliban out of power. Stability my friend. The fall of North Korea can have serious repricusions on the entire Asian community.

Afghanistan is worse because they decided to focus on Iraq before the mission could fully be accomplished. Before we went into Iraq, it was somewhat stable. With the pressure getting worse and worse for the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Now that we decided to go into Iraq and ignore Afghanistan, look at it now.

I don't buy that. Bad stuff was happening in Afgahnistan way before the media started covering it. The problem is, Afgahnistan and Bin Laden were linked, so if you said anything bad about that war...you're a terrorist. So instead people talked about the Afgahni olympic boxing team, the first time an Afgahni listened to the radio, etc. and were blind to the fact that this stuff has been going on for 5 years...the public is just waking up to it.

No, this isn't one of thesumofgod's crazy conspiracy threads...This is probably something PALADIN would've pointed out the second it happened, so I dedicate this thread to his memory.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but just a fun little side note to this North Korea getting nukes thing. Since the United States is technically still at war with North Korea (we are currently in year 53 of the cease-fire), two Nuclear powers are at war....so, the United States is currently engaged in a nuclear war. Fun side note, huh?
LOL Nice. :up::woot:

Kim Jong just wants attention, plain and simple. His country is in economic ruin and eventually it will collapse under it's own weight.

It's economy and it's effect on it's neighbors is probably the worst we have to fear from them. Kim Jong has no plans, nor will nuke a super power. Sorry, it's not happening. His economy cannot take a war right now, he's more likely to blow up his own country at this point.

Oh and his generals hate him more than we do.

War has a tendency to stimulate the economy. WWII brought the US out of the Depression.

Germany was in the middle of an economic meltdown after they were forced to make reparation payments for World War 1. Then Hitler and the Nazis came to power and began re-arming the country... the massive build-up to war made Germany one of the richest countries in the world prior to World War 2.

However, North Korea already has a sizeable military, so it's doubtful they'd be able to stimulate their economy THAT much... I think another Korean War will break out within the next 10 years.

They have almost a feudal existence. It would hurt them tremedously. Plus no war machine, already have standing armies in place.

people are communist for the war effort. other than companies that supply weapons. which is why weapons makers are the winners in war.

Yeah right... It's common knowledge that a 5/15" thick plywood desk will save you 99% of the time in the event of a nuclear attack.

I've bought 5 of them for my family. We'll be fine if it ever happens.

:D

As sad as it is, war is human nature.
against those you see as enemies, yes. there are many ways people or countries can be seen as enemies that aren't nessersarilly true.
